SaitoHajime101's Ah! Megami-sama Tv And Ova Review

Ah! Megami-sama

Rated: 6

Ah, finally on to the final section. I'm sure some of you are wondering why I've rated the series as such thus far (example the music section when that was a high point). The reason for this is because they're combined scores for both the OVA and series. Since I can't quite submit seperated overall scores, I had to combine and average approximately where the mean of the scores would be. For instance in the art, I probably would've gave the OVA a 7 while the series would've gotten a 5. Average those out you'll get about a 6 (excluding decimals).

Anyhow past the math lesson, I'm for the OVA. In the battle between OVA and Series, OVA wins. For me its hard to get into series that is an off and on type with the stories. Meaning that some episodes connect and some don't.

Speedfreek19's Ah! Megami-sama Tv And Ova And Manga Review

Ah! Megami-sama

Rated: 9

The series as a whole is original in the sense of what it presents in a way, yeah sure there is the stereotypical loser guy who cant for the life of him get a girlfriend or have any luck, but the difference is, that well being that goddesses are now a part of his life, the whole romantic side of things isnt stereotypical or cliche as such. It's more original than anything else in the sense that he isnt trying to win the girl or the girl isnt trying to win the guy, its each others relationship development and the events that go on around them.

I think the series is overall great... A definite keeper.. when it comes out to dvd in region 1 I plan on purchasing the series. It had splendid humour and was very enjoyable to watch. I enjoyed the side stories more than the main story. I hope for a second season to the series or another OAV for the series.. The franchise is a classic and I believe that all anime lovers should watch this. Originality his hard to say... this was one of the first and there are so many others... The fact that the TV series is recent yet the OAV is relatively old is hard to say... I started watching anime in 2000 and the TV series came out in 2005 so many different anime came out during that time which may have similary qualities of this franchise.

Ah! Megami-sama

The Goddess franchise has done quite a bit over the last 16 years. It's given us a long running manga, an OVA, a feature length film, and a new TV series. Each one is slightly different in its charm, with the OVA focusing on Keiichi's relationship with Belldandy and the TV series focusing on the comedic adventures of Keiichi and the goddesses. Each is a slightly different adaptation of the manga, and each offers its own take on the events portrayed. Both mix things up quite a bit to keep the story new and enjoyable.

The TV series, however is somewhat disappointing. As a Goddess fan, I'm slowly losing interest. It's far too episodic and doesn't provide much to keep me coming back. It lacks continuity and doesn't give much in terms of an overall plot.

Patchy's Ah! Megami-sama Tv Review

Ah! Megami-sama

like i said, this anime is SO pretty, it just aint funny! the quality is zero to none, the makers of this anime really went all out to make this anime, probably because of the great success of its predecessors

late late note: this review refers to the new series, being released slowly at the moment, this moment being 11/6/05 not the OVA or older series which are something else altogether).

Well, this anime is quite original since there are no other animes with a similar plot, so this gets the thumbs up for standing alone. It's also reknowned for being an all time favourite- it's always one of those feel good animes where you watch it in great humour, and when it hits the serious point, you feel the urge to piece it back for the characters on screen as you wish for the traditional happy ending.

However, this anime was not the most amusing I have seen.
