Crash09dart's Fruits Basket Tv And Manga Review

Fruits Basket

Rated: 8

The use of the elements like transformations and legends is really cool, but what gave me a greater impact is the "bonds" and promises they hold for each other. The feelings they all keep inside. Also different character perspectives and attitudes like the almost-perfect character, the always-happy character, the uber-shy character and the klutzy main character, they all fit together, like a puzzle that's best when together. Also the inevitability of each characters being bound together.

Having all sorts and kinds of character is really good. The use of family problems and such, acceptance and rejections. reasoning and understanding of each characters.

For the end I must say this is one awesome anime and I'd recommend it to everyone that likes romance. The character stories are really cut out to the last detail and You'll just fell in love with every one of them. Even tho episodes are not really that much connected with each other, the main story follows one string and is still one of the best around. Some situations will really make you think, trying to put yourself in the skin of one or another person and u should expect to cry a tear or to... if not anywhere else than the last few eps should be just the hit...

The overall presentation is great. This is a must watch if you are more into story than action. It might be too slow for people who only like action animes. It's got a quirky sense of humor. Kagura and Kyo are the funniest but all of the characters are pretty lively and are developed nicely even in the shortened version of the anime. Again, it's really original but on second thought maybe not for everybody. The art's not the best, the sounds aren't the best, but they do work well for their purpose and the story is developed really well. This series is great if you look at it as an intro to the manga, but the series by itself will leave you hanging at the end. It does have a sort of conclusion but leaves too many loose threads and unanswered questions.

They are things may bother me, but I really love the Furuba plot. It's not 'Let's save the world and do something REALLY important!' It's just the lives of some people who have it a lot different than us. Very cute and huggable.

Wonderful show... I cry more than I laugh when I read the comic, I have reached the 14th book already. Extremely touching and funny,u will laugh and the next second u might be crying. Fruits Basket focus a lot on relationship, I guess this is why I am hook onto it. Like many character and actually I find that not much ppl mention this, this book really reveal a lot of wisdom, maybe I guess u have to read the comic to understand it.

Well, this show is certainly original – I certainly haven’t watched anything like it before. I mean, the basic plot it’s one of those that leaves you wondering but these Japanese have in their heads when creating their stories, but everything works so well that it’s hard not to smile.

And when you finish watching it, you will probably want to see it again, just to see all the stupid faces of Tohru, the jokes about the rice balls, the bad temper of Kyou, the sweetness of Yuki, the even-more-sweet Kisa… and Haru and his hair, of course. Because this anime just has the WORST metaphors ever made! I mean, they’re so bad that they’re good, because you always end up cracking up a smile at Tohru’s speeches.

Fruits Basket

Is very funny!!! And very sad in some moments. But the funny part is great! I´ll laugh a lot in this anime!

Most of the jokes are innocente, but there are some ecchi/yaoi "jokes". Nothing that would offend anyone . But very delicate.

When you have a sad moment, the next one is always funny, so you can have fun with the anime. So if you were crying, Ill be laughing in some moments. Of course, if you are this kind of emocional personal. Very good humor, I recommend.

I watched the entire anime in two days. I just could not stop watching it. And you dont fell time pass when you are watching Fruits Basket. You could watch ten episodes and never gets tired of it.

All episodes have sad and funny momments.

Takaya-sensei (the mangaka) has commented that she doesn't understand how the series ended up as a light-hearted comedy. This seems an odd thing to say seeing how that's what it IS. What else is Fruits Basket but a light-hearted comedy?

Ah, but then you read the manga and reach the later volumes, you understand. The story becomes... darker, as well as more melodramatic, frightening, and mysterious. I like to call it an Emotional Suspense because you're constantly learning unexpected things about the character's feelings and relationships.

Another thing the manga has going for it is that the past is more structured and explored. The anime is happy to drabble in the present and little but.

Life has been very hard for Honda Tohru (a first year high school student). Having lost her mother in a car accident, she has come to live alone in a tent in the woods near her school. One day, she happens to stumble upon a house nearby, which belongs to the Sohma family. it's occupied by Souma Yuki (the most popular boy in Tohru's school), his cousin Shigure (a novelist) and another Souma by the name of Kyou who is constantly fighting with Yuki. <br>
When the Sohma's discover her tent, they invite her to come and live with them, and Tohru agrees as long as she is able to repay their kindness with her housekeeping skills. Through an accident, Tohru discovers that the Sohma family is cursed to turn into an animal from the Chinese zodiac when embraced by the opposite gender.

Since this was one of the first anime series I watched, it remains a favorite! I feel this is very original because I have never seen a shoujou series having a similar plotline. Yes, the transformation thing is common in anime series, but not in the way that Fruits Basket presents it. Fruits Basket uses this theme as a main thing to advance the plot.

Humor has been fitted into the series in such a good way that makes it enjoyable. You will have your laughs when watching this series. I really recommend to watch this series with friends to share the laughs and emotions.
This series is truly enjoyable to watch because it has a mix of everything and is not comlpex, so does not require deep thinking or understanding to enjoy completely.
