Life has been very hard for Honda Tohru (a first year high school student). Having lost her mother in a car accident,
she has come to live alone in a tent in the woods near her school. One day, she happens to stumble upon a house nearby,
which belongs to the Sohma family. it's occupied by Souma Yuki (the most popular boy in Tohru's school), his
cousin Shigure (a novelist) and another Souma by the name of Kyou who is constantly fighting with Yuki. <br>
When the Sohma's discover her tent, they invite her to come and live with them, and Tohru agrees as long as she is
able to repay their kindness with her housekeeping skills. Through an accident, Tohru discovers that the Sohma family is
cursed to turn into an animal from the Chinese zodiac when embraced by the opposite gender. The Sohma's managed to
keep the curse for many generations, but when Tohru stumbled upon their secret, life at the Sohma house changed forever.
Tohru struggles to keep the Sohma family secret and learn more about the family, but this may cause her so much pain
