Novalisk's Ai Yori Aoshi Tv Review

Ai Yori Aoshi

Rated: 8

So I enjoyed every part of it; it does worth the time, believe me! ^^
If you like hare-anime, you're going to enjoy it, but if you don't...well give this a try, because it's a bit more serious, than most of them.

Throughout the filler episodes we will get very much humor.
It's the best watched together with your friends!

One good point is it's rewatchability. I've already seen it 3 times.

Overall, Ai Yori Aoshi is an entertaining, well done little romantic comedy that suffers in terms of originality. Yet I found it to be far more pleasant to sit and watch than its obvious role model Love Hina, and after watching the first couple of episodes, I was hooked until the very end. Yes, you will be able to predict where it is going from a mile away. Yes, it does have the occasional filler episode that does absolutely nothing to further the story. Yes, it even has a cute mascot animal thrown into the mix. You know what? I still didn't care! The characters themselves and how they react to each other was enough to keep me intrigued throughout.

I think this is one of those anime's where you would either love or hate it. For me, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

The animation is splendid and beautiful. It's well drawn, very neat and clean. I've always loved how the scenery was drawn, the colouring... everything. It was so realistic and peaceful, makes you want to go to the place yourself.

The story was 'okay' I suppose. Sometimes it's rather predictable, but I loved it to the end.

I love the characters. How they look, sound, react. It just makes the anime fun. There's a huge range of variety for their characteristics.

Aoi's extreme sensitivity sometimes made me go "wah?" because I couldn't exactly understand what the big deal was. She does cry a lot, and some might find it annoying.

This manga is very good read (although it is a quick read). I can pick up this book, and have it finished inside a half hour.

Tokyopop released the manga in Japanese format (reads Right to Left), which preservs the art work, which I think is key to any manga publication when its translated into English (Or any language that reads Left to Right).

While the story unfolds slower then the anime, as I've stated before, it does a better job in telling the story. Character backstories go into more detail, and doesn't leave you guessing stuff as the Anime did to me.

There is some nudity in this manga, and its used tastefully, weather to delvier a punchline, or make a moment seem more romantic, although, Tina's gropping does get out of hand sometimes.

Animefreakzzz's Ai Yori Aoshi Tv Review

As for originality...i would say that the structure of the plot is slightly overused in the anime kingdom with titles like love hina and ah my goddess...ai yori aoshi also involves plenty of girls, screaming and one lucky guy who gets to experience it all. Yes, it is the same old plot. But the ony thing i can say that makes this stand out is probably the animation whereby the scenes are mostly brightly coloured and this anime also has a proper ending which is also a happy ending. (YAY!!) The awkward moments in the series are also plenty. That is where the humour comes in. In the series, the main funnie character is Tina, a japanese born american (i think so??), thus the yellow/blonde coloured hair, whu is also slightly in love with Kaoru.

My personal opinion, nothing special. Though it has its moments, it was particularly funny watching Tina try to grab peoples fun bags (boobies, if you find that term offensive I slightly apologize), and the relationship between the girls is amusing also. However if you are looking for more humor this is not the show for you. Sometimes it was boring, and sometimes it was annoying, but hey, I bought it I might as well watch it (which was my driving motivation). Some things I didnt like, but others I did. I felt that the cons outweigh the pros, however my colleagues seem to think differently. It all depends on the thing I mentioned earlier. If you like me and dont like the weak submissive type girls, then dont watch this. Watch love hina or something, this is not for you.

Kyosuke's Ai Yori Aoshi Tv Review

Ai Yori Aoshi

HM... I'd lie if I say this show shines because of its originality. Let's just say AYA is like taking lots of elements from other romance animes, mixing them with an excellent chara design, voice acting and a regular OST.

Having that in mind, I watched it and it hooked me to the end. Some episodes tend to be not interesting (when the "mascot" appear, for example), other ones simply make you feel really sad (like Kaoru's flashbacks), but overall I think I had a good time with it. A lot of eye-candy abuse, though...

Humor is decent... seeing Tina teasing Taeko and trying to touch everyone's breasts is so funny (specially when she tried to touch Miyabi-san's).

As a conclusion, Ai Yori Aoshi can generate a lot of opinions, due to each person's criteria.
