First of this show is very very hot. There, you made me say it, this show is sexy (okay I'm done with that no more detail, it is self explanatory... please!). Next it is hilarious, the constant character controversies spice up the series constantly, and is rather entertiaining on its own. The story was direct, but the plot was not (or am I confusing myself oh well) it was rather evasive and allowed for a nice veiwing experience as well as the initiative not to give the entire story away and make a repetive show (as I have seen on some of today's anime Aaach*naruto*ooo excuse me).

WongZhonshi's Tenchi Muyo Tv Review

The originality of this story is outstanding. Masaki Kajishima lets his imagination soar as he weaves an intricate and fantastic world full of mystery and interesting characters (of course you're missing out on most of the mysteries if you don't have access to the other materials). But even without the backstories TM!R is still a fun and well balanced show. To test the enjoyability of this show as presented in anime form, without the extra information, I gathered a group of various friends and acqaintances to watch the entire show over the course of a week. Most had little or no knowledge of the backstory; only one other than myself was well knowledged in the story. To my surprise most seemed to enjoy it quite a deal and were eager for more; even if they were more than a little confused.

Acyx' Tenchi Muyo Tv Review

I have a friend who has referred to animes like this one as "feel good" anime, not too heavy, but not too light on it's comedy, a good chuckle and smile to brighten up a gloomy day, the high rating below comes from this intricate balance which is in actuality very hard to accomplish. Not too overkill, yet not completely dry as well. Overall you have a very well balanced series with a bit of something for everyone, like the relative who brings back souvenirs for the family after a long trip to places abroad. It also has a sense of family which is well-developed, and very intricate as well. Be advised though, this is not something that can be taken at face value. It has depth, incredible depth actually, and is also about as predictable as a game of Russian Roulette (I play with a semi-auto).

This is a very original Anime probably the most original i have ever seen. Its not like the bang bang kill everything anime, but don't get me wrong there is still a lot of fighting if you like that. Most of the episodes are just like get mad at each other but then at the still be mad you just don't talk about it and then the next episode they do it again. In the Humor Department this does excellent, if you watch this you will laugh in every episode except serious ones but i wouldn't want to laugh in those. as for enjoyablilty to watch, you are going to want to watch this anime. This aired about five years ago on Cartoon Network (When it was Good) and I loved this anime. i remembered i got some torrents (legally of course ;p) and i enjoyed them just as much as the first time i watched it.
