Gameplay and Fun Factor
All games have their trump cards. (Unless of course the games suck balls such as Big Rigs and Gods and Generals.) And apparently the trump card of Grandia III really saved the game from being a complete disaster. The trump card of course being the battle system. Grandia III's battle system is a time based system called an IP Gauge battle system. This system consists of two separate rings and three sections. The inner ring represents your characters with each character having each their own symbol and the out ring belongs to the enemies. Grandia without the superb battle system would be more than a $50 paperweight. Beyond the lackluster story and mediocre soundtrack comes a complete gem. For those that have yet to play a Grandia game to know this, here is a simple breakdown. It is a modified turn based system in which characters travel around a dial. When a character reaches the COM part of the dial, that is when you input your command. Now based on the command you chose, they now go into the ACT portion of the dial. Basic attacks go quickly, while complicated magic takes a while. Once that character has reached the end of the ACT area, they complete the attack that you programmed.

All i got to say to this game is Wow, i think its very underrated in my opinion. Its the greatest Role Playing Game i have ever played. The humor of this game is also present, it is occasional but its there, without humor this would be a 'dark' game. The main character is funny, he would make funny comments and insult people on his journey. Other characters also have humor in them, such as Ryudo's bird, Skye dropping him in woods on the beggining of the game i found very funny, and how he insulted the bird and it started pecking him in the forehead. This game is very very very addictive and fun to play, it took alot of time of me and all i did was play it till i beat it.
