Minayuri's Blue Seed Tv Review

Blue Seed

Rated: 10

Overall I enjoyed the series, well made into a 26-episode series that wasn't too short or too long, the characters were likeable, even the villianous Murakumo that doesn't come off as annoying, and made a very believable villain and Momiji comes off as an admirable heroine. The Omake Theatre exras were also an added bonus, with some being funny, or touching(like Kome's Omake episode about her childhood), or random and shocking like the one with Momiji and Kaede's grandmother. So, I reccommend Blue Seed to anyone.

The series is out on DVD in a box set format with the TV series as well as the follow-up OVA sequel, with the OVA dubbed in 2003 with new dub actors replacing Jason and Amanda Winn Lee as Kusanagi and Momiji, which I found disappointing.

Jinnai's Blue Seed Tv Review

Blue Seed

Rated: 5

It's hard to peg BLUE SEED into a convenient label...at first, it looks like it might just be the first tentacle horror anime to be given its own TV slot. But then, things change and get surprisingly lighter, even humorous...and this is just in the first four episodes! Although some have criticized the opening of BLUE SEED as being formulaic, which I understand, I was incredibly intrigued by the possibilities. Though I haven't had the chance to see the whole thing yet--a caveat that needs to be made, considering that the show may go somewhere I don't expect--the opening is surprisingly strong and looks to set up a truly enjoyable series.

Ratkin45's Blue Seed Tv Review

Blue Seed

Rated: 10

The presentation is just another reason to go buy this series. For one, you can get the entire thing for around $70 (DVD's). It's three disks and twenty six episodes (I think). Rather cheap. Next, it's an almost guarenteed perfect 10. It's got everything, comedy, action, tragedy, horror, and a little fanservice, all of which play off each other perfectly. Everyone in the 'gang' is going to like some part of this. The fights are friggin' awesome, the comedy is racey and witty, the tragedy is shocking and semi-suspensful, and the fanservice is fanservice (guys and girls, more is done of girls though). The ending is pretty cool also. The extras are well worth it too. An art gallery is included on each disk, and the one outstanding extra.... Omake Theatre.
