Kingdom Hearts tv Review

When stars begin to disappear and 14-year-old Sora's home, Destiny Islands, is engulfed in a freak storm, he must journey across worlds to find his friends, Riku and Kairi. As master of the mysterious Keyblade, Sora must battle the soul-eating Heartless and discover where true strength lies.
Kingdom Hearts is the first collaboration between powerhouses of animation and gaming, Disney and Square Enix. A fun, light-entertainment role-playing game featuring cameos by a plethora of familiar characters, from Cloud Strife and Sephiroth to Hades, Tinkerbell, Jack Skellington, and Maleficent.

Story & Characters
The story itself is very, very intriguing, original, and interesting. It's action-packed and there are many times you will need to put together strategies or think in the mind of the character in order to progress, and if you're looking for that sort of game, then Kingdom Hearts is perfect!
I, myself, have completed the game probably about three times, and all times it was fun. There is just enough cut scenes where you understand what's going on most of the time, and the characters all have indivdual personalities, rather than everyone talking the same, saying the same things, doing the same things, etc.
Kingdom Hearts is a mix of Roleplay, strategy, and action game genres. I say Roleplay because even though you only play one character the whole time (Sora), you must place yourself in his position to get further in the game. Strategy because you need to plan out just where exactly you will go, what weapon/magic you will use to attack, who you will have on your party and for what reason, and many other things such as those. Action because, of course, you just can't have a game like Kingdom Hearts without fighting. With an accurate estimation, I'm assuming there are about 100+ battles, not counting minor encounters with heartless in the various worlds. In some cases, you may kill a boss, but then they come back. It's definitely part of the plot, because the main plot would be about the darkness in people's hearts, so when someone 'dies', a boss preferably, they come back stronger. Just not all the time, or else it would just be annoying.
The story line deserves a 9 rating, because you almost never get bored, and when you might be expecting something to happen, something totally different happens. Never a dull moment in this game. The characters were put on to teams so that they were balanced out with magic, physical action, and abilities, so it's not like you only could use magic during a portion. No sir, they give you many more choices than that. It's one of my favorite games, and I'm sure that if I enjoy it so much, that any other anime/manga freak will as well!

Art
The art is absolutely AMAZING! The shading is just right so that it looks as if you were there, the characters have defined features that give them even more personality, and the worlds are designed so that not only are they fun to play in, but fun to look at and explore the different styles as well! Some of the features, such as the eyes, are probably the most anime things, but there are other anime styled drawings as well. The art had many people doing it and a lot of effort put in to it, and it paid off! You will be transfixed by the way they design some of the keyholes (must know story line to understand that) and how they made all the different keyblades. Especially ones such as Oblivion and Ultima, as they are done with captivating colors that go just right with one another, and their shape is perfect! No flaws in the animation, I say.

Sound
The sound in Kingdom Hearts was awesome. The background music is perfect for each world, and sets the mood just right. For instance, if you're in Halloween Town, they have that eerie 'This is Halloween' song playing in the background, without words of course, which gives it that spooky but somewhat fun mood. The sound track, aslo, is one of the best types of music I've ever heard. There are many who adore the music and hunt for the CD, one of them being myself. The hit 'Simple and Clean' is popular amongst players, as well.

Presentation
The presentation is absoulutely magnificent. Everything is presented at just the right time, and almost nothing is out of place. It's not one of those games where every 5 seconds the character is having a flash back. It only has a few flash backs, and those which are important rather than useless.
The humor in this game is probably about a 5 on a scale from 1-10. Not based on how funny it is, but how often humor is used. But when it is used, it is quite funny, don't get me wrong. Still, it's not a game based on all humor, so if you're looking for something where it's all about people getting pranked and stuff like that to where it happens all the time, this is not a good game for you. It's quite serious most of the time, retaining to the story.
This story is very fun to watch. You never know what to expect for what just might happen at what time. The cutscenes are very interesting, not boring, and are used frequently so that you understand what's going on, as I mentioned earlier.
