Hmm, I think the whole Story section that you presented here should be put in the presntation, rather than writing it
there and then repeating your point again afterward :x ... And you should put some introduction on the story, not so
much that you give out spoiler, but enough as a 'teaser' to invite people who never read/watch this series
(like me >_<) to watch/read them XD

Erm, and maybe you should stick to review the anime part ? Am not sure but I think the review section is meant for
anime/OVAs.. well, maybe its not true, but reading two-way review like this made me left confused >_> so.. well,

Brooklyn, 1924. The prosperity of the decade has summoned the darker forces of nature to rise from their sleep and back to the surface of the world. The Order of Magdala, a religious military organization, has developed special weaponry and trained forces of nuns and priests to battle this evil. Follow Rosette Christopher, a young rambunctious exorcist, and her partner Chrno, a hornless demon, as they wade through hordes of monsters and demons, fighting evil and risking life and limb. Not to mention excessive damage to real estate.
Story & Characters
Apparently unregrettable, Chrno Crusade is very tragic. Even sometimes it really makes you bawl your eyes out, the story builds on very well. But I can say that I didn't manage to applaud GONZO for the anime creation. The story plot was COMPLETELY off against the manga. Sad to say that the mangaka himself, Moriyama-sensei, was not really satisfied.
I've taken the librety of NOT revealing anything much from the manga, but I rather read the manga more that watch the anime. For one, characterisation was much better in the manga. Azumaria was much more of a kind and respectable person rather than the airhead in the anime who trips, falls, and cries. Satella's first encounter was much more entertaining in the manga, and the fact that she held more of a personality in the manga. As for Aion, he doens't disappoint ANYONE in the manga, he keeps both his HANDS and his LIPS off women. and the sinners...well what can I say... touching moments are with EVERY SINGLE GROUP there is. Magdalene...well, let's just say that her significance is not that 20 minute slot of Chrno's memories, and guess what? Rosette KNOWS about him and Magdalene in the manga, rather than only Chrno keeping it for himself.
But then again, I suggest that you read the manga AND watch the anime, but anime first, if not you'll be disappointed.

Art stle for the anime was pretty well off, except for those exaggerated...er....body...anatomy -cough- of Satella and Rosette. Manga sketches was pretty good except for a bit of problems with the face...[don't kill me1 but i'm a manga critic!] . Overall, the anime art style was slightly different from the manga. The people are a bit...eh...pointier? But sometimes I few that the art kinda lacks life in the anime...
Manga spreads were very nice, especially the ones at the back of every manga...I'm still waiting for volume 8 so that i can keep it. You can look forward to those excellently coloured covers of the manga. And it also showed Rizel and Jenai's actuall form, they were something like humans...untill [spoiler] [sploiler]ed them.

The opening and closing theme was good. Especially Sayonara Solitiare, which had a slow and somewhat sad pace, but all the well meaningful to par with the anime. The opening, Tsubasa ha Pleasure Line was upbeat and well off to start the anime. Background music was good too.

Presentation
Er...might I complain that i didn't really like GONZO's presentation? Okay, I seriously HAVE not completed the manga, still waiting for the scanlations... but GONZO could at least have NOT twisted the entire story plot. Then again, I can't complain because I was introduced to it at first in anime.
Overall I was hooked at the begining, the first episode was almost similar to the manga. Then the plot trudges on...and then it became different from the manga...and then It was so shocking and sad. As I have already said, the manga and anime are TWO DIFFERENT things and should not be compared with each other unless if you have read and watched both.
At least the anime brought more variety to this story. Heck, it's not as if it's REALLY bad, just not VERY
VERY good. It just lacks a little bit more story plot clearing and more information on what Pandemonium actually is.
Because I never understood what Pandemonium is until...you know.
But I'll only give it a five because I wasn't really satisfied with it. but it is after all, one of the best
animes I've watched.
