Story & Characters

This review is about castlevania Symphony of the Night this game came out for the Playstation and it was very fun you were alucard(Dracula spelled backwards) he showed up in Castlevania 3 with trevor the whole point of this is to bring down dracula your father you go through two castles you fight tons of booses you get awesome moves and relics and come on you get to fight dracula and richter its a win-win there is 3 different forms you cna change into human, wolf, bat, or mist they all have there own special little things like when in mist you cna't get hurt in back you can see in dark places and in wolf you can run really fast and of course in human you cna wield weapons and all that fun stuff you meet one person along they way that actually is quite usless she jsut sits there and talks to you her name is Maria she is there for richter and she does nothing except for *********************************(play the game to find out you can also unlock different names so you can actually be that person like richter which is cool because he is old school and he has his old school look and even his old shcool whip

Art

This game is 2-D which actually isn't that bad the game as awesome looking charcters and the rooms are very detailed some rooms change from time to time and when you break something it actually crumbles and not fall into triangles and when you change for you actully look like your supposed to there is very minimal load times it doesn't tkae to long but everything looks great they have pretty bad water effects though but you can't blame them its a 2-D game the enemies look great everything was well done but it would have been a little better if it was in 3-D

Sound

The soundtrack was awesome everything makes sound so it gets kind of funny but annoying if you play it over and over the music never gets annoying and every enemy has there own sound and there is actullay voice overs in this game which is pretty rare back in 1997 they disk itself as a hidden track you actually have to go the whole browse thing or you cna jsut pop it into you CD player and it will work its a long song and i have no clue what it has to do with the game the music cuts out every once in a great while but its usally in the same place and when its not ther the game just seems lame

Presentation

This game you can just hop into at any point but you may get lost the maps are easy to learn and the almost connect everything so there isn't alot of walking from one side to the other this game as you squared off son against father which is not the original but both of htem being over 400 years old is kind of cool you can shapeshift into three different forms you a vampire well half and half(your mother was human)and this game you can just sit down and play for hours apon hours people that are watching can have a blast by taunting who ever is playing because its fun to mess with people and if they loss focus for to long they are dead this game is not to hard but if you have never played a castlevania game before this is like learning how to ride a bike for the first time its just takes time and practice and then sooner or later you'll actually stop dyingand if your going to buy one gmae thsi year make it Castlevania SOTN one because its just play great and second its getting harder and harder to find a copy of it

this seems like a hard game. probably takes 30+ hours to beat. i hope it's as good as the other games.

I thought it was about an anime, but it's a game. Actually I have played already. Really good.

shouldn't this have been put in the game section? but any game of castlevania isn't for the faint of heart, nor is it easy. after one reaches a certain level and one thinks they have gotten to the easy point, the boss battles begin to duplicate in harder levels to defeat. nice review.

Not a bad review, just about any game of Castlevania has very little cut scenes but plenty of action and fight scenes. Good job.
