Rurouni Kenshin tv Review
Ten years after the beginning of the Meiji Era, a wandering samurai came to Tokyo. This man, known as Himura Kenshin later on, ends up living in a Kamiya Kasshin dojo and teach kendo for a living.
However, his life is not as simple, as turmoils arise from time to time, unfolding his true nature as the famous Hitokiri Battousai, the greatest killer of the Bakumatsu. However, vowing never to kill again, he tries as hard as he can not to draw his sword until the critical moment comes, and so far, manages to escape his bloody past.
Until the day when an old menace, in the form of Shishio Makoto, the successor to the Hitokiri Battousai, threatens the peace of the new Meiji Era. Shishio and his Juppon Gatana are ready to start a new revolution to correct the evils of Western influence, and forced Himura Kenshin, along with his new friends, once again raise his sword to protect their loved ones.

Story & Characters
The story starts after the Revolution, Kenshin Himura, or as he's known, 'the battousai' gives up the life of a man slayer and becomes a wanderer, he wanders around untill he meets a girl named Kamiya Kaoru, who owns a dojo and teaches the Kamiya Kashin Style, he decides to stay with her and help her throughout her dojo, than new people start joining them like Yahiko, a young boy who wants to learn swordsmanship, Sanosuke Sagara, a street fighter with a problem against the imperialists, who killed his leader. A doctor who the call Miss Megumi, she helps with medicine and such. Kamiya Kaoru wants to keep Kenshin from going Battousai again, so some people try to influence him to transfer into the battousai, but he refuses, or he becomes the man slayer for a little while and returns to normal. The crew just encounter enemies throughout the story and battle them, most of them are from Kenshin's past, others just fight him to be the best and some fight him for revenge. Thereis also other conflics besides on the battlefield well. Kenshin protects his friends throughout the story of course. Sorry but i dont got alot to say about the story, it aint that great, but its simple.

The art is fantastic, its one of the best artwork in anime i have ever seen, the characters are detailed. I think this is the greatest feature of this anime, i got nothing else to say but this is one of the best drawn anime of all time. The characters are greatly drawn and modeled, and basically everything else is drawn sweetly, besides the characters, like the backrounds, and everything around the area. In my opinion this is the best aspect of Rurouni Kenshin, next to music and sound. I dont think there is anything bad i would say about the artwork here.

Rurouni Kenshin has some nice sounds/music, the battle themes are great as well as the non-battle themes. In the middle of the battle, there will always be a nice theme to go along with the battle, as well as sounds of swords clashing or the sound of agony from a beaten up character. The audio is not bad at all, goes along with whatever is going on, like if Kenshin hugs Kaoru a sad theme would play and if there is a battle going on it would be a intense theme. The sound here is great, not much flaws with the audio.

Rurouni Kenshin has quite a bit of everything, the humor is there as well, when there isnt a battle going on than there would be humor sometimes, like Kenshin catching Kaoru in the bath, or Yahiko and Sanosuke fighting over something or just fighting for no good reason at all, the anime faces they make are awesome too, to express how he/she fells and all that good stuff. The story of a Rurouni with a past that haunts him and with people trying to bring it back does not sound that bad, but me myself liked Kenshin more as a man slayer. Great action anime, if you like swordsmen, sword battles and violence, which is more intense in Samurai X, which takes places before Rurouni Kenshin. Overall it is enjoyable to watch if your a fan of action, it is worth watching at least once, to ANY anime fan, as for me i watch it everytime that it comes on, even if i seen it 5 times allready, if you have not seen this Anime, your mission out on alot of great action, good story, great artwork, and sweet audio/sound.

one of the best anime ive seen....till the end of the kyoto arc atleast, it felt like it was rushed or the developers got lazy, probably due to the fact that the manga was a monthy and they had to think of something, but i may have my facts wrong. but overall, a great anime that stands out as one of the best. the only other samurai anime thats better than this overall is its OVA trust/betrayal.
