Bakugan tv Review

In a parallel world known as Vestroia, a Bakugan named Naga absorbs one of the two cores that preserve the balanace and peace in Vestroia known as The Silent Core. To prevent Naga from absorbing the other core, known as The Infinity Core, Naga's twin sister Wavern absorbs it. This breaks apart the balance of Vestroia and sends Bakugan in marble magnetic sphere forms along with metallic cards to Earth. Story & Characters

Story
The plot is excellent, the start of the stories in every season is consistent and portrays the theme of Light and Dark really well. On the contrary, however the plot is a little too predictable. Bakugan starts with Kuso Dan and the changes he experiences through brawling. He changes not only psychologically but also in terms of personality. For those who know Kanji, they would have an insight of each of the character's personality beofre watching the anime. Dan's Japanese name means the knight with the sniper rifle, this explains that Dan is rash and impatient yet uses a bit of strategy in his battles. Another one is Marucho;s Kanji name meaning peaceful perfection, this proves his intelligence yet will to maintain peace in the world of Bakugan. Without a show of doubt, Bakugan is an excellent anime that one should recommend to friends or family in the decades to come.

Art

Art
The artwork suits the shonen and action genre very well. The art also appeals to not only males but also female as well, the art is not to boyish nor girlish either. The art balances the simplicity of shonen art and the elaborate details of the shojo genre. Anyone scrutinizing the detail in the artwork would notice the balance of the pictures of both male and female characters. Misaki Runo for instance, her attires are appealing to the female viewer by keeping up with Japanese fashion trends, however appealing enough to the male viewers with the balance of Runo's boyish personality and the frills of her skirt to symbolize girlishness. Julie's on the other hand had more boyish attires yet the hair clip symbolizes her feminineness.

Sound

Openings
Although the English version Openings are not the best quality to viewer's standards, the Japanese Openings are very superb in terms of Quality, the lyrics of the Openings in each season poetically describe the plot of each season without spoiling the full plot of each season. The band (Psychic Lover) that composed the openings did a superb job of planning the vocals and lyrics of the songs. Bucchigiri Infinite Generation was the best opening, for the reason that the instrumentals in the beginning prepare the listener for the impact to come throughout the music. Thus the listener would be listen to the music with ease. Number One Battle Brawlers had the best visuals, the plot is well portrayed in the video of the opening. In addition, upon hearing the Bakugan Gundalian Opening "Ready Go!" by Sissy, viewers often would cry upon hearing the lyrics since one line says "I can never be a perfect Hero" inferring that the speaker seeks to be a hero but does not possess the skills to do so. This matches the main theme of Bakugan Gundalian Invaders, "Dark forces threaten to harm the universe, however darkness instills fear to the ones closet to them.
Endings
The lyrics and visuals of each ending song match each other pretty well. The best ending that meets this standard however, is Air Drive by Elephant Girl. The visuals and Lyrics are simple yet effective and portraying the main story of the plot.

Presentation

Enjoyability
The plot is intense yet consistent. Any viewer of the anime would be able to follow the intensity of the plot very well without any trouble what soever. In addition, the anime is non-violent enough for any child to watch the anime without parents scolding at them for violent inappropriate viewing of typical shonen anime.
Humor
Every episode has a laughable scene despite the seriousness of the plot. Episode 2 of the first season portrays theme the best. For instance although there are very sad scenes in the episode it ends with a convivial conclusion in the end.
Dreams

Spoiler (show)

Every season starts with the main character having a vision of what is to come in the future for the plot. Thus giving viewers an insight of the plot before moving on with the plot

Improvements
The plot would have suited more viewers if the producers balanced the gender Ratio a bit more. The reasons for this is that there are not enough female viewers to develop a more romantic plot to suit the female viewers. Currently there are only one female character in eight male characters. In addition the anime could attract more viewers if the public was allowed to contribute more ideas about the anime, these ideas may hold key evidence in improving the plot, music, or art that the production had overlookd.
Conclusion
The anime is very good in terms of plot, however some improvements could be made by opening to the public to strengthen the plot and art of the anime.

Thanks for this detailed review! I've been seeing posters about this anime everywhere in my country but I didn't like it at first sight. Now it's the other way.

    Great anime!

@SchRita if possible watch the Japanese version first then the dubbed version or else you would interpret the theme in the incorrect fashion and you are welcome. I had the guts to type this review even though my colleagues highly disapproved me from writing this review on the fear of looking moronic.

Warpten29 I agree, it is rather too bad that society views Bakugan as a moronic anime. I, however defy society to the greatest of extent by typing this review and watching the anime since it cheered me up when I was in my aphotic injured days.
