Plot Synopsis
On Daisuke Niwa's Fourteenth birthday, he decides to confront his crush, Risa Harada, with a love letter, although backing away from doing so at the very last moment. Since being young enough to train, Niwa has been training and practicing under his grandfathers observation although he not knowing himself what it was for. On Niwa's fourteenth birthday, he is surprised by himself transforming into the legendary Phantom Thief Dark, who's mission is to steal precious arts. Niwa must now fight his feelings for the one he truly loves while also being confronted by the terrible dangers of being the new host of Dark. Also,at the same time of keeping his mind appon these current complications, he is also being hunted down by his very own classmate,Hiwatari Satoshi, who vows to capture The Phantom Thief Dark and lock him up for his sins.
This adventure runs across in what seems like a European type city, where action takes place with each corner you turn.

Story & Characters
This story is a fascinating story. You got all types of genres rolled into one anime. You got the humor, action, drama, romance...you got it all. Not to mention you got some interesting characters to enhance the story. You got the clumsy yet brave Daisuke who only wants to go out with his crush but gets dropped into the situation with Dark Mousy and his lineage. Then you have the crush, Risa Harada and her twin sister Riku. These two characters were made so well that not only will the plot die with out these characters but characters like Daisuke and Dark wouldn\'t have been that good. I love the whole relationship between all four of these characters and like it or not they are all intertwined with each other. What happens to one will surely happen to the other three, or in some way affect them. But lets not forget our minor characters such as Takeshi Saehara. You can consider him the clown of the show but he does, occasionally, do something that is serious and really helps develop the at least one of the characters. So many twists and turns you would never expect in this one. There were some parts of the plot that I felt were not needed, but I ignored it because all animes have their filler moment. All in all great job on the plot.

Art
The animation used in this anime was an excellent choice. I didn\'t see these characters and scenery in the anime light but I truly thought they were real scenery and characters. Not in the realism like acting in a movie used with real people, I mean in the sense that you didn\\\'t think anime when you saw them. Each character was nicely drawn and the scenery was totally awesome. This style was the right choice for this anime no doubts about it. Awesome job.

Sound
The sound was good. It wasn\'t perfect as far as music went but the voice overs were done perfect. I don\'t think I would have changed a single voice actor or actress. Now the music on the other hand was good and I like most songs but the repeat of the same opening and ending for most of the series got redundant and annoying. I found myself tempted to skip right past the opening and ending songs, but I held my ground because they might have snuck something new into both. The songs for the opening and ending were decent songs but can get real annoying if you watch several episodes in one sitting. If you want to watch the opening and ending with getting annoyed like that its best to do one episode a day or something. Now for the type of genre that was used was good. I liked the genre and gladly listen more from the same genre. Nice choice there. Last but not least the sound effects. The sound effects were perfect. I can\'t remember one sound that I thought it didn\'t fit. The sound effects team did a fantastic job. Overall pretty good sound.

Presentation
Now for the overall series, great. Definately a rewatch series. there were a couple slow points in the presentation as far as how long some scenes were, but I was able to skip over the minor because I know their pound to have some problems there. The whole series flowed almost like water. Every transition fit and the speed of each scene change was perfect. I wouldn\'t have done any better. Aside from all that the morale was clearly stated as the series went on. On top of all that the humor was superb. The humor was always on the mark. There were some scenes that were perfect for humor and they took advantage of it. This series is worth the effort and money on getting. This is a must own for you anime fans out there.

Even though I have not finished the series, but from the review I find the story even more fascinating.
Hey this review is really nice though I haven't watched DNAngel yet. But it's one of the anime that I'd love to watch, so this review kinda give me a hint of what the story is like. I'm even more excited to be able to watch the show! Thanks a lot for this review!

dn angel is a really good anime, but have you heard the english voices for it? ITS HORRIBLE! It can make me deaf. I reqlly hate Risa's and Daisuke's english voice. But for the japanese, it really matches their character! I guess dubs always have their negative points
I loved this manga. I read them all, but Daiskue is soooo naive sometimes.
i knew d anime is really popular so i managed to get d series. was disappointed coz d anime wasnt as good as i thought, but overall d series isnt bad.
This is an awesome anime but in parts of the series the manga was a bit better in explanation. But it is always fun to see the characters in animation

I love this anime completely! Dark is a stud but i've seen hotter. Daisuke Niwa is an absoulte sweetheart along with Riku and Towa. It's art work is gorugous

DNAngel's such a great series. I love it! I wish i could draw like Yukiru Sagisaki. every page in the manga is like a master piece.

I saw the complete series in tv and also bought all the cd's.... i practically enjoyed every part of it... I love Dark-san.... he is like my idol... Krad is a jerk.. and i also think that satoshi and niwa can be one great pair (as partners in crime)...o_o
I feel so sorry for Mio at first but as iwatched them again and again i kinda got to understand everything is... Yukiru Sagisaki is a great artist... in her work she had portrayed anime in a different dimension... o_o

You seem really enthusiastic. I didn't really liked it except the... I don't know 6, 7 last eps. One of my relative buy the manga but I'm catching it up slowly, I like better read again some other mangas.
I love the manga of DN Angel, but i think the anime series left out too many things. I still like the anime, but i would choose the manga over the anime most definately

I have watched the whole series. It was fascinating the story and the ending was quite touching and a happy
i love this series!It's very funny, touching(I even cried a few times) and with veyr good plot.The manga is better than the anime-as always-and the characters are very cute, sweet and interesting.
The art is veyr good, and consistent. The character desing is good, and one almost never gets confused between characters.
I think my favourite character would be Hiwatari, because he's clever, mature, sweet and tragic. Oh, and hot^^
There's not a single character I really dislike.I don't like Risa that much(I hate her in the anime, but in the manga she's cute)and Krad is fascinating.
