Plot Synopsis

The Diclonius, a mutated homo sapien that is said to be selected by God and will eventually become the destruction of mankind, possesses two horns in their heads, and has a "sixth sense" which gives it telekinetic abilities. Due to this dangerous power, they have been captured and isolated in laboratories by the government. Lucy, a young and psychotic Diclonius, manages to break free of her confines and brutally murder most of the guards in the laboratory, only to get shot in the head as she makes her escape. She survives and manages to drift along to a beach, where two teenagers named Kouta and Yuka discovers her. Having lost her memories, she was named after the only thing that she can now say, "Nyuu," and the two allow her to stay at Kouta's home. However, it appears that the evil "Lucy" is not dead just yet...

Story & Characters

This anime is about a girl named lucy who escapes from a research facility and she is not human she is a diclonious which is a person with horns and vectors (invisible arms that pretrude out of the back and can penetrate anything) so as she is escaping she kills tons of people and finds a way to a cliff overlooking the water and right as she is about to jump she gets shop in the side of the head with an anti tank rifle. Then she falls into the water and swims to shore and there she meets two people named kouta and yuka. So kouta and yuka take lucy under their wing and let her stay at their house. But they find out as they are at the house that she cant talk and all she can say is nyu so they decide to call her nyu. Meanwhile back at the research facility they come up with a gun that targets threats and takes them out without harming innocent civilians so they get one of their finest soldiers named mondo to go out and kill her. So back with nyu things are fine until nyu breaks a shell that was from koutas sister so kouta gets mad and nyu gets scared and runs away to the beach. But while she is at the beach mondo comes up to her and tries to kill her and then a whole different personality comes over nyu and all of a sudden she can talk and she has a urge to kill. So she rips the arm off of mondo and kills tons of other soldiers so as the story goes on they meet new friends and even more enemies.I think the story was excellent.

Art

The art was very good and i loved the detail in the different characters and when people were killed (or should i say slaughtered) the details were great and it looked so realistic. I especially like the scenery because they put alot of details into it one thing that i thought was weird was when it rained it didnt look like the people were wet at all but when they cried you could really see it but it was still cool and i think that is one of its only art flaws so i think the arts good. One of my favorite things about the art is how they do the lighting in it i absolutely love how they will make everything kind of dark in a scary moment but not too bad to where its cheesy but just ennough and when it brightens up when something good happens it is a big acchievement in art in my opinon.

Sound

It had good music and i especially liked the opening theme because i just loved the melody. One cool thing was a dramatic parts in the show they would play the opening music in the background and i liked how the music had a link to the story. I only saw the japanese version and it was great the subtitles were good but nyu's named changed throughout the story like first it was nyu, than mew, than nyuu but if you are paying attention its no problem^_^. Also at the end the subtitles said dad but nana was saying papa but other than that its pretty good.

Presentation

The presentation is totally fantastic and i love how they did it. I mean it has so much originality and it is so funny like nyu is clummsy and she doesnt know what stuff is so that is sooo funny i love it. Also the voice of nyu is so childish that its sooo funny to her say it i was laughing in alot of parts but it is also very dramatic and is filled with gore like peoples legs and arms being ripped off and peoples heads getting chopped off and it was so enjoying that i watched all 13 episodes in one day and i could do it again because it is so good that it leaves you wanting to watch it again and again i am even watching it right now I soo love it and i am glad i bought it this anime is well worth the money and i would at least find a way to rent it or watch a episode to see if you like it cause it is truely in my opinion one of the greatest anime that i have seen so far and for that i give the presentation and for the anime overall a thumb wayyy up because i loved it and i am sure you will to.
