Story & Characters
the story consists of 4 friends, namely: Haruka Suzumiya, Takayuki Narumi, Mitsuki Hayase, and Shinji Taira. Haruka has a crush on Takayuki, Mitsuki and Shinji's classmate. Mitsuki is Haruka's bestfriend so its natural for her to make Takayuki and Haruka close, that started their friendship. Since Haruka has a crush on Takayuki, Mitsuki asked them to go to a place-Takayuki's favorite place-and then, Haruka was able to confess... eventually, they became lovers... things were going out well until... Haruka was involved in an accident that caused her to become comatosed for about 3 years... in these 3 years of Haruka's sleep, Mitsuki had fallen in love with Takayuki and they became lovers... after some time, Haruka awakens, thus the start of the story... in Haruka's memory, she was only comatosed for a few weeks, after hearing of this, Takayuki and the others trie to act as if it was really only a few weeks of comatose... Mitsuki then feels jealous and argues with Takayuki... after some time, Haruka notices the changes in her body, the length of her hair, and stuff like that. She finds out that Takayuki was already dating her bestfriend, that she was betrayed. after hearing of this, again she becomes comatosed, and wakes up a few days after, not knowing she had woke up earlier. this time, she realizes earlier the changes in her body, and accepts the fact that 3 years had passed... though she had accepted this fact, she could not accept that her bestfriend had been dating her boyfriend... after some time... she realizes that Takayuki had fallen out of love in her, and fallen in love with Mitsuki, after realizing this, she gives up Takayuki, and bids him goodbye...

the drawing is fantastic, everyone has a nice look, the most beautiful character in this story is undoubtfully, Haruka in her look after 3 years... Takayuki is the handsome one in this story. he's look is appropriate for the part. Mitsuki is the beautiful one during the old days, though after 3 years, she lost her beauty, while Shinji's look is not really great, but you still can say he looks good. Akane, Haruka's little sister, is cute and she grows up to be beautiful. Haruka's parents are sort of serious to look at but their look fits the part of being parents.

the OST of this anime is one of the greatest i ever heard. all the songs are great! the opening theme is: Precious Memories, the insert ending theme is: Rumbling Hearts, and the ending theme is: Hoshizora no Waltz, and the last episode theme is: Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, every song has a great meaning to it and it also sounds good to the ears! this OST is definitely a must hear and have! most of the songs i think is sung by Kuribayashi, Minami! so they're all beautifully sung! my favorite song is Rumbling Hearts, though many say that Precious Memories is better...

this is a serious love story, it's also not for all ages. if you're into comedy, this is not for you, but i recommend this to everyone who likes a serious love story and everyone who has the same problem in love and in life! this is also i think a shoujo anime, but it doesn't hurt if a guy were to watch this anime! after all, i say it's a must watch! there's a part where Takayuki wants to do ecchi stuff with Haruka and Mitsuki that's why i said it's not for all ages! oh.. there's also this part when Mitsuki "raped" Takayuki and Shinji... that's why Takayuki fell in love with Mitsuki... can't help it... she's obsessed! got to watch out for that! ecchi guys!!! i think most of you will hate Mitsuki for that!!! she IS hatable (dunno spelling for that!), you know!!! that damn rapist! she's the one who caused the accident (in some way, you'll think that!) it can be prevented only if she didn't cause Takayuki to be late for the date with Haruka!!! she even raped Takayuki! oh my God!!! she's bad!

I agree with your review and also I really like the anime. The thing where I don't agree is with Mizuki whom I think is not bad but (after Haruka) the most tragic character.
I disagree with your review. The story was fantastic, and the plot is sound (though very cliche), but the characters are what made this series lackluster, IMO. None of the characters, with the possible exception of Haruka for obvious reasons, had me react in any emotional way possible.
Potentially a great anime, modeled after a very serious story/drama, but ultimately held back by the rather boring and one-dimensional characters.

I felt like this anime was trying TOO hard to be dramatic. If you reallly like soap operas, I guess that's fine, but I personally do not, and so I was rolling my eyes the whole time.
And sorry, but I didn't feel bad for Haruka at all. The one I really felt bad for was Mizuki. She actually had to deal with adult issues and insecurities, while I felt that Haruka was (though through no fault of her own) still stuck with childish problems, like how her first boyfriend fell in love with her best friend. Hate to tell ya, but that hurts a lot more when you're NOT in a coma. Geez.
