Plot Synopsis
Somewhere in future England, Vampires and Ogres are common creatures in the underground world, and a source of terror. To protect United Kingdom and the Anglican church, Integra Hellsing, a heiress of the legendary vampire buster founded The Hellsing Agency, and sets on crusade with Allucard, one of the famous Vampire slayer nationwide.
Little does people know, except Lady Hellsing herself and few close friends, that Alucard himself is actually a demon. The battle heated with the participation of the Catholic and political issues behind the vampire - human war.

Story & Characters
This story was very short, but it works, the part i disliked the most though,
was the fact that, they did not tell you, or even hint, about what happened to
all the characters after the show ended the only hint you get is about Alucard
and Integra at the end, but when it comes to the rest of the characters the
story left you hanging 
but i think they did a pretty good job for only having 13 episodes, i still dont
know why they ended it so shortly :/ alot happens within these episodes though,
not much time passes, but the story progresses very fast, the story, i think,
might have been better if they made it atleast a season long, instead of cutting
it so short, i dont know why they did, anyone got any info on that subject lol?
the story was pretty entertaining though, butt kickin vampire out looking for an
opponent who is worthy of his power. and if you didnt know already Alucard
backwards is Dracula :P the story mostly revolves around 3 characters, Alucard,
Serres, and Integra, you dont really learn much about Alucards past, which is a
shame...all in all, i give the story a 5, for so-so

Art
Art is a different story entierely, the art in this anime is completely awsome,
the colors are ritch and the drawings are very detailed, i was impressed with
the art in this anime, it has the completely new school anime look to it, i love
how alucard is drawn, he looks so bada$$
the serroundings in the show are also very detailed, the artists dont get lazy
when theres a big scenery shot or anything like that and repeat stuff, theres
also alot of cool special effect drawings to, again, i was very impressed with
the art in this anime, and i am going to give it a 9 ^^

Sound
The sound in the show was pretty good also, i watched the english dub, and the
dub had very good voice actors, not dumb monotone people , the music in the show was cool as well, and the sound effects were even
better, everything sounds pretty real, guns, wounds being created etc. when i
try to recall the show, i cant remember any noticable background music that
much, except on a select few parts, its mostly quiet background music if i can
remember right, but you dont really notice watching this show, its almost all
action i give sound a 7.

Presentation
i cant really say this story was original, because there is alot of vampire stuff out there, but i cant really compare it to anything thats out there, there probably is but nothing that i know of, there is almost no humor in this show, only one part that i can think of is humor lol, maybe more, but then again, victorias ditsiness is pretty funny. the show is presented pretty well, in the fact that there is almost always action going on, no dull scenes really except for a select few, mostly because of the fact that it is so short, no time to develope the story line really, so i think the presentation was done pretty well for the time slot they had created, this show is pretty entertaining, i was not bored watching it at all, the characters i think are pretty original, especially the awsome butler, otherwise know as "the angel of death" hes pretty schweet ^^ i would of liked a little bit more from the humor department though, but the show is very dark, i would not expect there to be much humor ina story like that lol : / i give presentation a 7

5 for the story !! ?
i think it's excessive, it's true that the past of the main characters isn't well developped, but it's because of a serie made in only 13 episodes, hellsing's plot could have made a good 26-episode serie... for sure...
yeah, they didnt have time to develope a past for the characters, but thats just it, it was thier choice to make the series 13 episodes, so i had to rate it by how the story was in depth, thats my opinion anyway, and again, dont get me wrong, i liked hellsing alot, very entertaining ^^
Hellsing was alright. Had a mediocure(obvious mispell) and the art was better. But extremly wrong
Yeah Hellsing is ok... but i think it deserved a lil more for the story, some anime i buy are around the same or ones ive seen at the shop.. like noir (sp) and excel saga o_O
And My friend's Friends' dont shut up about it lol once they get started they dont stop lol hellsing this hellsing that
i agree whit you... they can use the great story in a better mode; it was so short!, they never told what heppend with Victoria Sellas!...
anyway, now i.m going to read the manga, so there i can compare the series in a better mode....
I think I like the manga from Hellsing alittle better then the anime because the whole idea of Incagnito got me confused. but the wraiting on tha whole story I would agree with, what I liked the best about the anime was the art and the sound.
its not great but its ok, the manga is a lot better. the only bad thing is that its really short.
has anyone heard about the new OVA for hellsing?
The first DVD volume of Hellsing Ultimate OAV was released in Japan on 2005-12-09. According to Anime News Network, it'll be about 20 episodes.

I think it has a very great cause and the morals are just just straight forward... but its like a mystery you have to solve and theres stright up fighting...... this is very cool I rate it a 9.5
I think your review does the series great injustice, especially in regard to the music. How can you say that there was no notable BGM? Every BGM track is wonderfully done, and there are several that stand out. As for the story, it's true that it's kinda left hanging (and that bugs me too), and it's got some weak points, but still it would've deserved a 6 or 7. There's also plenty of humour in the series, only it's not immediately noticeable and it's more of the twisted sort... All in all, try being a little more profound when writing a review. (And check your spelling... that's just a hint
).
Another disappointment =_=...if they have sticked with the manga's plot they should have done well but instead they made some stuff up and ended the series with an ending that was no ending at all =_=, I hope they do better with their current proyect =_=
