Ephemeral-Garden's Slam Dunk Manga Review

Slam Dunk

Rated: 9

I just enjoy Slam Dunk. No, I enjoy everything from Inoue Takehiko. I play a little basketball but that is just one of the long-listing reasons to why I'm hooked with Slam Dunk. Having a complete collection of Slam Dunk is like owning a pile of gold. Unlike most shounen mangas, Inoue's usually full of guys with countable number of female characters, mostly good-looking ones of course. He don't really draw much about romantic relationships and focuses heavily on basketball matches and character's progression.

The ending is just great. It just leaves you with the feeling like "Owh... that's just great. Awesome. I'm touched to tears." The ending is just something you can't describe with words. But the feeling is just... blissful.

Slam Dunk might be old, but I still love it.

GsG9's Slam Dunk Tv Review

Slam Dunk

Rated: 6

Unfortunately, I think this anime is bad in such a way that it's tough to write an entertaining smear review for it. It's just mindless and thoroughly uninteresting. The main character, you see, is a dumb macho jerk. He's big, though, big enough to slam-dunk a basketball. This must be a truly fascinating feat to the relatively, uh, gravitationally-challenged nation of Japan, and maybe it's enough to build a character around over there. But from an American perspective, um, whatever. So he can slam-dunk a basketball. Whoopee.

There's really not much else to the guy, it seems. His animal instincts, I suppose (there's not much evidence of an alternative attracting factor), draw him towards a rather airheaded female character (the word "bimbo" comes to mind).

BossMac's Slam Dunk Tv Review

Slam Dunk

Rated: 9

Slam Dunk is the first basketball anime (I think) and features a great plotline that doesn't require a genius to figure out. Thus making Slam Dunk predictable in terms of who will win (Shohoku only has one significant loss and that is against undefeated Kainan).

The creators must really have great sense of humor making a total wack like Sakuragi the hero. The comic relief, commonly the Sakuragi Squad and Judo Guy, are real laugh-riots are can get you laughing for some time. On-court humour are always abound with players from all team serving as clowns. Even Kainan's serious captain Maki gets his share of punchlines in this.

You will definitely enjoy this watching this as nice plays and great humours are all-over the place and will make viewers stay tuned just for that.
