XxKurumi's Rurouni Kenshin Tv Review

Rurouni Kenshin

Rated: 9

Rurouni Kenshin is the entire deal. It is missing a little something, a bit in plot and music and animation, but together is something very and undeniably special. I have to say that this anime drew empathy, sympathy and compassion from me so often that I can't even remember every emotion it pulled from me. I used to dream about this series. I cannot say how profoundly I was touched, but I was touched — a lot of people were and are. And as I said, it is something special.

The best thing I can say about Rurouni Kenshin is that it is so well-rounded. Even if it is missing a little bit here and there, every element (plot, art and sound) was on equal levels, no one taking command over the other, a problem I find so often when watching anime.

I really love the conclusion of this anime. And i really cried my heart out at the ending. Kaoru's love was soo powerful that she could even sense Kenshin's presence. And even though Kenshin's memory is failing him so badly, he doesnt fail to remember Kaoru. This proves that unlike Tomoe, Kaoru's love was irreplaceable and stronger.
All in all i think this, in the end is a story of love & sacrifices. The people behind this animation/story must have put in alot of effort into putting in emotions and tear-jerking moments. It isn't easy to create such a situation so i really applaued them to be able to succeed in it. Ruruoni Kenshin Seisohen is a story worth re-watching. Ah, do prepare loads of tissues cos you'll need them!

So..in the end..

"Oro??!!" As wierd as it sounds, this word/sound/expression is actually the source of humour in this anime. It is a famous word said by kenshin when there is a cofusion or something wierd has occurred. The filler episodes are the funny ones. There are many with Kouru on the verge of killing the three men for living off her without much contributions to the household except kenshin. Ken-san does HOUSEWORK!! It is side-splitting enough to see kenshin the greatest swordsmen wearing an apron or doing the laundry. One reason this anime is enjoyable is the fact that it isn't too heavy. As kenshin meets many opponents and get into many life-endangering battles, the anime does not bombard the audience with one death battle after another without any breather in between.

Humor of Rurouni
i think that it's pretty funny how Kaoru is always hitting kenshin for doing nothing she's so funny though i mean she acts like she hates everyone but, really she is a kind and gentle person.....
I think it's pretty funny how Kenshin had a problem with getting his face unstuck from the "battle face"
hahah kaoru hit him there too!
hm...................... i think that that is about it ... yeah i think so well anyway i think that Kenshin is a great story and anime but there wasn't that much humor i give it a 5! what about you what do you think???????????????????????????????

Rurouni Kenshin is the best if not one of the best manga/anime ever! Its graphics, story, plot, characters are excellent. I recommend it for children, teenagers, and adults alike. The thing I like most is that it gives a glimpse of japanese history and most of all it gives a statement on good morals and non-violence.
There actually isn't as much violence in Reflection as there was in Trust and Betrayal(the movie).
The anime, like the manga, manages to be both serious and funny. At times, the anime is very serious, usually when Kenshin is fighting or trying to avoid a fight. But humor presents itself during the more mundane events of everyday life. One such area is of course when Kenshin and Kaoru get into an argument.

Rurouni Kenshin

Presentation is where Rurouni Kenshin shines. Action scenes are highly detailed, every leap, every strike it took into account forms the basis of its epic history in the Japanese animation industry. Every move and style is respectable in the sense that it can be logical to a certain extent, as well as being able to capture the audience's undivided attention. The scenes devoted to talking and speeches by the characters are adequtely placed between each battle scene, not forgetting the funny parts in each section; when Kaoru becones a crazy bull and Kenshin's eyeballs puff up to the size of basketballs. Really funny stuff.Pacing in this series is well placed, we don't have to wait a long while for a scene change in this series.

Rurouni Kenshin

Rurouni Kenshin has quite a bit of everything, the humor is there as well, when there isnt a battle going on than there would be humor sometimes, like Kenshin catching Kaoru in the bath, or Yahiko and Sanosuke fighting over something or just fighting for no good reason at all, the anime faces they make are awesome too, to express how he/she fells and all that good stuff. The story of a Rurouni with a past that haunts him and with people trying to bring it back does not sound that bad, but me myself liked Kenshin more as a man slayer. Great action anime, if you like swordsmen, sword battles and violence, which is more intense in Samurai X, which takes places before Rurouni Kenshin.

Rurouni Kenshin

I really liked this anime. I have never quite seen an anime like it, but some might disagree with that. I'm not an expert on anime dealing with ancient japan and samurais. But it is not so original when it comes to duels. It is your typical one blow hit and usually a more powerful move is revealed when confronting a more powerful enemy. From the initial story line one would expect it to be very serious, but it is full of funny scenes. Examples of this is the sometimes fierce competition for Kenshin between Megumi and Kaoru. Sanosuke constantly not paying his bills to the Akabeko, a local restaurant. The fights that Yahiko and Kaoru go through like brother and sister both not wanting to admit that they are mirror images of one another (at heart).

Finiteyoda's Rurouni Kenshin Tv Review

Rurouni Kenshin

The amazing thing about Ruroken is how many different ways it can be watched. There's the TV series, OVA's, a movie, and the manga. My personal journey was: OVA's, movie, series, then manga. If you follow the manga's layout, the correct order is series, OVA's (minus Seisouhen, or Reflections as it's known in the US), and then Jinchuu arc (which was never animated). One of my big disappointments was Seisouhen, the OVA episodes which added an ending to the manga, that didn't sit so well with me... but I won't comment on the OVA's here (maybe that's for another review). What's really cool, however, is that I kind of like the order I watched it in, compared to the official order.

Sylvacoer's Rurouni Kenshin Tv Review

Rurouni Kenshin

As I said in the plot review, I loved the historical fiction aspect. I also loved the physical comedy that came into play, especially in the first epsiodes. I remember how in the first episode, Kenshin ran into Kaoru's bath because she thought she was trying to kill herself, and....yeah, you get the idea! Kenshin is a goof-ball on par with Vash the Stampede when he's rurouni, and his "oro!" is now an official part of my vocabulary. Of course, I mention Kenshin as rurouni only to bring up his "Battousai" aspect - talk about split-personality issues! The whole angst about his Bakumatsu past was what made RK that much more memorable, especially after I watched the OVAs (which I will review seperately, in case you were wondering).
