Yes, I do agree that OP is not a bit realistic at all. However, after a long day's struggle at work or school,
it's time to just sit back, watch the show, and relax. Don't think about anything, don't worry about
anything, just enjoy. At least what OP offers is a bit of an escape from this complicated world, and a bit of a reminder
of all the wonderful things on this world.
OP is suitable for humans across the age, however parents must be aware of the revealing clothes that some of the female
characters wear. Even though there are violence and blood I feel that the violence level is pretty much same as Tom and
Jerry. Thus OP is highly recommended for those seeking a bit of fun.
p/s: Do not worry about OP having so many episodes and having to start from the first.

This series is VERY enjoyable. It made me laugh XD, it made me cry T_T , it also made me think >_<. Like all anime there is a moral behind the story. The moral of One Piece is to never give up on your dreams no matter how hard or how rediculous it may seem. And believe my Luffy and the crew have been shot down so many times and have gotten up. After every fight each of them become wiser and stronger. They learn fro thier mistakes just like normal human beings ^_^. It also presses on the matter of trust, friendship, family, and bonds.
The Humor of One Piece is very funny. It's very over draw and very espressive and colorful. You get so the characters make the most outragous faces in the world and it's very funny XD.

Koohyuko's One Piece Tv Review

This is a well presented anime. Its quite original, though I can see some minor recycling of some portions of some characters. Some parts are slightly stereotypical, but for the most part, its very original. There are also numerous possible couples, for those who like that. All of the crew are close, providing multiple possible couples for people to choose from. For me, that's a plus. I love an anime with couples. The romance isn't really important in this one, but it is present. Some of the types of couples are quite original.
The enjoyability factor and humor factors are high. If there's not a cool fight scene, there's usually humor. The humor is usually focused on the Captain, Luffy. He's not what you would call a normal Pirate Captain.

Terra-chan's One Piece Tv Review

This series has got to be one of the most original I have ever seen in consideration of style, characters, story and humor. The combination is really quite unique and it is very enjoyable to watch, at least if you don't mind something that obviously has a flavor of "Made for kids" even in Japanese, though moreso in the dub with alterations like changing cigarettes into lollipops. If you have any kid left in you to appreciate, you'll certainly appreciate One Piece, but if you can't stand things that are too ridiculously silly (as One Piece can seem at first glance) never fear for there are also very serious moral dilemmas in this series and tragic histories for several characters with many difficult decisions for characters to take.

One Piece is great, it's got everything, someone (luffy) who is out to prove he can be king of teh pirates by being himself, not trying to prove he's something he's not, and to give shanks his hat back of course. One Piece is a crazy adventure and I love the art syle, it's got something different that makes it stick out and stick with you. I LUV One Piece!

The presentation of the show is the biggest reason why everyone should watch this show. You can have all of the other factors mediocore, but if you can execute it right, the bad aspects of the show just seem to go away. What this show excels at is its characters.
Each character is unique and given a lot depth and development throughout the series. The characters also makes this show very funny. Comedy is a big part in One Piece, and it is done very well. I have found myself laughing at least a couple of times on each episode. The comedy is funny without being vulgar or dirty.
This show at the same time can be very serious as certain characters with whatever they are going through can really make someone shed a few tears here and there.

Though not original in story, the engine works great and is pleasing to know how Luffy and his mates are going to get out of a tricky situation. Humour is defintely one of the strongest aspect of this anime. The character never seem to have a lack of jokes even in serious situations especially from Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper. Overall enjoyability is pretty high because you will not get dissapointed in watching the series. It is well-thought-of and the story just makes you more and more interested in watching. A good watch for everyone including the whole family. Gore factors are minimal only having Luffy and Zoro as the main culprit for seeing blood. Action is okay and you'll expect a decent amount of fighting in this series.
Now for the bad side.

Sereneness' One Piece Tv Review

This series is definitely original, the likes of which I have never seen before. When I first watched One Piece, I was honestly expecting a darker theme rather than what it actually is -- encouraging. Each character is vastly different from each other, even the "villians" have their own unique qualities. And the world itself is also special. I was amazed that anyone was able to come up with such elaborate and intricate ideas!
One gripe I do have about One Piece is that the battle scenes sometimes take forever. It almost reminds me of Dragonball (which I never got into..). Each large-scale battle has individual fights for each main character. And because of that it usually spans several episodes.
