Yuri1313's Neon Genesis Evangelion Tv Review

Rated:
Neon Genesis Evangelion isn't for everyone. If you like a good story that is challenging to comprehend, then I recommend you check this one out. But if you like things in black and white, this isn't going to be your cup of tea. It's a good anime, but if it had been a bit easier to understand, it could have been even more succesful than it already is.

Nedved11's Neon Genesis Evangelion Game Review

Rated:
This game has the best presentation it could get:The Evangelion Series and Movies. In fact without knowing the series(nor
knowing of anime o.0) i played this game non-stop for a whole day, morning untill night and another few hours the other
day in order to finish it...then i loaded the game and tried to find out the other possible endings...Too bad Eva
Girlfriend of Steel 2 is in japanese only...anyway the presentation is great. In the beginig the game does not show us
too much except for Shinji being kicked in the face by Asuka but the game gets pretty interesting once you play it
more...So 10 for the presentation.
So with the Series and the Movies to promote it I think this game has a great presentation.Personally I enjoyed it a
lot.

Murrman84's Neon Genesis Evangelion Ova Review

Rated:
Well, Evangelion is definetely unlike anything else that I have ever seen period. It is humorous, but also devastating;
enjoyable but also very frustrating at times. The characters don't flesh out exactly as you would expect them to,
or even as you would probably like them to, but I don't necessarily consider that to be a bad thing.
This is a show that will have you questioning some of the aspects of your own life that may coincide with the events
that take place with the characters. There are some very deep issues that are explored here, but that doesn't mean
that they will actually be explained. Evangelion is meant to be a thought-piece, a work of art that is meant to not only
entertain you, but also to make you sit bak and contemplate important things.

Qrdel's Neon Genesis Evangelion Tv Review

At the very begining I really thought that eva is a kind of anime with mecha, ANOTHER anime with mecha. I was wrong and
I'm really happy that I was so damn stupid. Most of us, anime fans discovered great mile stone - EVA, it really
changed everything.
The history of anime is divided to two groups - before Shin Seiki Evangelion and after Shin Seiki Evangelion... Moreover
none of any other different anime I watched (for ex.

AtmaCashino's Neon Genesis Evangelion Tv Review

Rated:
Originality
This series is a classic by standards, with unorthadox aliens to living mecha to the most unlikely main character (Shinji, who is spineless, a wimp, and completely pathetic weakling, the complete opposite of what a main character should be), all under a gigantic plan. Everything is a near equivalent to some of the Wagnerian operas in terms of some sequences: tragic, dramatic, powerful. (Wagner was probably the best opera composer in existence). Every episode has some meaning or point that completes the big picture, either some clarity on characters or defeating an angel (or both). Everything is not completely serious, there are some funny episodes around the middle of the series. (the type of show shifts from dramatic-funny-lots more dramatic).

S2X's Neon Genesis Evangelion Tv Review

Rated:
The easiest criticism to give Evangelion is that it is often unclear what is going on, who is working for whom, what are all those mysterious organizations and monsters. Even so, this is a series which can be enjoyed on the action, characters and comedy alone. Simply, everything that happens in the series is interesting to watch. Wanting to see what happens next and in what different way will the next monster be defeated in make it something to keep coming back to. The characters themselves are something to watch and just seeing them interact with each other is something to see. This is particularly true for Rei, who can not be compared to any other character in any other anime. Some would say she alone justifies watching the series.

Elm's Neon Genesis Evangelion Tv Review

Rated:
There are countless reasons to dislike Evangelion, the simplest and best reason I heard was that they watch anime and
television shows in general to be entertained, and this didn’t entertain them, it required far too much thought
and consideration, concentration and research. And this is true, to fully understand the series and the movie you either
need to have an already existent interest in Psychology and Theology, or you have to research them.
There is nothing wrong or self-damaging about this point of view, there are none of us who don’t lend to less
intense entertainment, and this particular genre may not be to a person’s liking. There are numerous other
reasons’ people dislike Evangelion which are valid and appropriate as well.

Xenjin's Neon Genesis Evangelion Tv Review

Rated:
Evangelion's sequential science fiction adaptation of the Kaballah faith has its strengths and weaknesses. I will briefly highlight them here:
Strengths:
- The sound was definitely the best of its time, when this release came out in 1996/97
- The artwork has since been superceded by more modern titles, but still stands on its own as a labour of love
- The storyline is one of the most sophisticated (if not the most convoluted) ever crafted
- It is not all about giant robots. There is a significant dramatic ensemble here. Academy award worthy.
- The plot is not quite as simplistic as a first time viewer might think.
- The first japanimé to introduce true philosophical depth to a story
Weaknesses:
- Few anime titles have dared to tackle philosophy and get away with it.
