Winxfairykay's Final Fantasy VIII Game Review

Rated: 8

The worst thing about Final Fantasy 8 is that it had to follow Final Fantasy 7. This made for a few poor reviews. Overall, the game is very enjoyable, and doesn't take very long to beat. The story is quite interesting, and yet, has a lot of turns and twists in it that would make someone feel like they are watching a soap opera. There is a few serious times, as when a character is in grave danger. The story has a good script, and its funny when it needs to be, and serious when that's what's called for. Their isn't much of a true moral through the story, and there isn't much of a moral at the end. Although, the feelings between Squall and Rinoa is easy to see, and yet, hard to grip as the writers put off their relationship pretty much until the very end.

SplinterCell's Final Fantasy VIII Game Review

Rated: 8

Final Fantasy VIII is a rush, the new Junctioning system is a very nice feature. Sadly I did not enjoy the 'draw' magic feature and the Guardian Forces. I guess I got too use to material and liked that. But the features of Guardian Forces add to the game play. Leveling up not only yourself but you GF's as well. By doing that you get new junctions to use, new attacks, and etc. By the way, an interesting new thing about GF's is the select feature. Later on the game while pressing select you can increate the damaged done by a GF by pressing select and then when the icon pops up you press square [] as fast as you can.

A nice side feature is the card game. By playing the card game you can get more and more cards which you can morph into items, rare items, ammo, parts, etc.

Wvanguard's Final Fantasy VIII Tv Review

As I stated, although there is no sound in the game, you won't care about anything but the plot when you get in the game, and the conversations are coolers!! I would've said many things but it would spoil the game for you! Every character in the game has his/her own humor style, I specially prefer seifer's sharp tongue, and also his freedom! Hell, he's my favorite character of all times.

Kiden4911's Final Fantasy VIII Tv Review

Rated: 8

This ff is different from the rest of the ff's with its story. Humor is rarely seen and though its story is not any more involving or dramatic than the rest, it seems more dark and serious than others. Gameplay wise squaresoft reassembled the rpgs notion of magic and decided to go with a junction system that did away with magic point (mp). This gave slightly more customability to the player but also did away with an important part of character developement. Also, ff viii emphasized the importance of summons or gfs in this case. Its system is very similar to that of ff vi. The ability to customize ur characters with gfs and junction was alright but it also produced some annoying times when u couldnt use magic in fear of damaging ur stats.

Nobitakun's Final Fantasy VIII Tv Review

Well, lot of people thought FF8 had nothing new to add in the roleplay games, such a boring history, confusing battles and a poor magic menu (no MP but number of spells). Well, I have to say that, for me, it's the best way i have seen in a FF series, but I think i have to be objective, so maybe could be a lot confusing, because a roleplay game without magic points is like a breakfast without a coffee or an orange juice in that time, now it's normal to find games with lots of strange things that make you to think if you're really playing a roleplay game or not jeje.
