Hepro2000's Chrno Crusade Tv Review

Chrno Crusade

Rated: 9

Of course this anime is enjoyable. There is not only suspense and drama, but also humor to lift a heavy mood. The presenting of the main characters in the first episode really had me latched on, the first time. The concept of the anime is at first unclear, but steadily becomes clearer as the story progresses. The anime moves at a steady pace, not too fast and yet not really slow. It gradually presents challenges for the protagontists and as those challenges are overcome more of the protagonists' pasts become clear as well as the concept of the anime. Before too long the entire thing is revealed, yet there are some things left in shadow and that is truly how the directors keep viewers glued to the screen wondering what will happen next.

The re-watching value of this is high for me which is why I gave it a 9 and I laughed my ass off many times it does have alot of humor for a religous anime. As I said the originality is very good I barely seen any animes in the 20's I really enjoyed watching this anime the first time I am currently re-watching it and it even better this time round :D What I really loved about this is the religous quotes by various characters, such as Aion and hwo they traslate the from the texts and chapters from the bible is superb and contraversial I loved it.

Er...might I complain that i didn't really like GONZO's presentation? Okay, I seriously HAVE not completed the manga, still waiting for the scanlations... but GONZO could at least have NOT twisted the entire story plot. Then again, I can't complain because I was introduced to it at first in anime.

Overall I was hooked at the begining, the first episode was almost similar to the manga. Then the plot trudges on...and then it became different from the manga...and then It was so shocking and sad. As I have already said, the manga and anime are TWO DIFFERENT things and should not be compared with each other unless if you have read and watched both.

At least the anime brought more variety to this story. Heck, it's not as if it's REALLY bad, just not VERY VERY good.

Chrno Crusade

Rated: 8

Chrno Crusade is a full-on anime that is beautifully presented. Although it is a pity that there are bits that may be a little confusing due to its complexity in the story line, it is original and highly enjoyable. In simple words, it’s awesome when it comes to passing time or just for something fun to watch.

The humour throughout the anime, although it gets a lot more seriously gradually, adds to the enjoyment of the viewers. The comedy sometimes, is the best part about this anime. It has a good balance between comedy and solemnity, and is just enjoyable to watch throughout the episodes.

I think this is one of those anime that make you think a little. With all the talk of Christianity and revolution, you really have to wonder whether religion is all that necessary.

Cagari's Chrno Crusade Tv Review

Chrno Crusade

Rated: 9

This anime takes place in the 1920's, in New York, so I wouldn't really consider it an orginal anime, if that's what this thing means. It was created recently, in 2004. It also has alot of spiritual things in it, such as showing Mary and the nuns praying in a church and alot of other things. I recommend this anime for 12 and up audiences, because although it is spritual and holy like, it does have some romance(now you know why I hate Aion), and some scary stuff. Very thrilling at some times; times are especially cool when Rosette uses her gun and when Chrno turns into a demon. Overall, this anime is pretty nice to watch; it does have action and is extremely interesting, but like every anime, there is always a boring episode or two. It builds on itself, so you have to watch to get it.

Narumaki's Chrno Crusade Tv Review

Chrno Crusade

It's a great anime to pass the time with, not something you'd want to put your entire brain into. Like I said, before, the story isn't all what it's cracked up to be, what with rushed development, etc., but it still redeems itself with sheer eyecandy. The action is great, and the animation never fails to amaze, just what you'd expect from a GONZO anime.

For the first few episodes, you'll be treated with slapstick humor that pays off, but as the episodes turn, Chrno Crusade would gradually convert into a much more serious anime with heavy religious themes to it, which, i think, is really not for everybody. Still, like I said before, you'll want to watch it for the eyecandy, just like Bakuretsu Tenshi.

Sallyf322's Chrno Crusade Tv Review

Chrno Crusade

Rated: 7

The idea of a nun working with a demon is quite original. Chrno/Chrono Crusade does offer a bit of humor, but not much. Enjoyment comes more from the characters and their fight against their struggles rather than particular jokes or lines.
Something that makes Chrno Crusade a really nice anime is how it quickly introduces characters, and gets more into their background as one watches the anime. The first thirteen episodes give off a nice feel of "buddies vs. bad guys".
However, the excitement sort of slips from there. The following episodes up to the ending are much more serious and dark in mood. The last episode itself leaves a series of questions, which was probably done purposely.
