NovaProspekt's Burst Angel Tv Review

Rated: 8

This is an action anime pure and simple. No, wait; it is an exceptional action anime. Gunfights, fistfights, mecha battles and the word "patisserie" (what Kyohei aspires to be) makes this a refreshing and fun action anime experience.

The DVDs surprised me with their level of content. The insert in the DVD cases are 6-8 page booklets with character illustrations, environment illustrations, cast info, background info, and various other interesting tidbits. The bonus features include the standard clean opening and endings, and previews sections. They also include episode commentaries, selections from the Bakuretsu Tenshi radio shows, interviews with the Japanese cast and crew and even an interesting preview of another CG animated show.

Gelatinous' Burst Angel Tv Review

Rated: 8

I found it extremely enoyable to watch. Plot developed at a good pace, with fun here and there. Some things were weird, so some people will have a problem with this (for example, the giant squid - why's it giant? this isn't explained) But it was still fun & Jo got to kick ass so no big. Some parts were funny, also a plus. Though, it's a little tiring watching Meg get kidnapped repeatedly especially when it was so damn obvious (giant crow, episode like, seven).

Despite that I completely hated the end, I would recommend this to almost anyone.

***TOTAL SPOILER WARNING IF YOU READ AFTER HERE***

Sei (seemingly) dies, which of course was horrible for me. And Meg taking Jo's place was just irritating... .I mean, i know they left the story open for an OAV but STILLL.

Thorticus' Burst Angel Tv Review

The show isn't based on the most original idea ever, hot girls with guns, but it's a formula that i happen to love so i don't mind watching it a few times over. The action is very full and stimulating and the girls are hot so the re-watchability (neat word huh?) is pretty good. And again, the mech formula is used in this too. I've never really cared about mech anime, but when hot chicks are thrown in and makes it alot easier to swallow. Hopefully over the course of the series things will turn toward a more serious and character driven plot instead of senless action, but all in all it was a pretty enjoyable experience and I would reccommend it to any one who is in the mood for some hot action. The extras on the disc are also very cool.

SpookyFish's Burst Angel Tv Review

Rated: 6

I can't imagine Baku-Ten being very original, in the sense of: people experimented on, harvested for their brains, tough girl/person uses a mech to destroy the enemy, betrayal, perky girl gets kidnapped all the time. The humor is on and off, while not being entirely funny when present. Whether or not it is enjoyable to watch is a mixed bag. There are various action sequences that look great, but the series tends to be filled with scenes or even episodes that just become questionable as to whether they truly contribute to the overall story.

I did find some interest in watching Baku-Ten, enough to justify spending the time to obtain the episodes and watch them all.
