Shoujoboy's Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan Tv Review

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan

Rated: 2

I went into this show expecting a good laugh, and I rarely come across something that I just can't find anything good in. It seems a few people out there really enjoyed this, but at this point I have to question those people's sanity. Over the top humor can work, but somehow this show missed the mark on making that happen. Redundant humor, characters you just didn't like and other lackluster elements made this show one I'd soon rather forget. Shows that lack plot usually make up for it in another department. This on the other hand faultered at every junction that can make an anime great. As for recommending this to people, I'll only recommend this to one type of person... if you like to smoke pot and watch anime then this one just might work for you.

Hiddensnakehands' Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan Tv Review

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan

Rated: 8

Obviously, with the constant and the frequency of blood spitting in the series, it would be wise to set an age requirement on the anime. Although the theme of the anime seems to be pretty light hearted, you would get gross at certain points of the anime, such as the time when angels develop malaria when their circle get removed, or scenes of scenes of seeing Sakura getting clubbed to death by the Excaliborg. So I would say, it is pretty much a Japanese only anime, there is no way it would come to the US market.
Through four episodes, the series seemed to be entertaining me greatly mainly because of the weirdness of the show, even though I am not an Ecchi type fan. However, the anime lacks severe character development as some of the other ones such as Naruto.

Kawaiiguy's Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan Tv Review

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan

Rated: 7

So far, Dokuro-chan has held my interest purely because of the absurdity of the show. It's one of those series that doesn't take itself seriously at all and I find that extremely refreshing. Hopefully the series will continue to entertain. I'm also hoping for some more plot development, but that is secondary to the body count.

As fair warning, this series is not for the faint of heart. If you are grossed out by fire hydrant blood, giant metal objects with spikes, people being turned into monkeys, girls with horns, or the idea that angels are sent to kill people, I recommend you look elsewhere. However, if you're looking for a good light-hearted diversion from mainstream anime and don't mind some senseless violence, I highly recommend checking out Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan.
