Shoujoboy's Air Tv Review

Air

Rated: 5

Air is supposed to be one of those shows I love. Now the show did have all the ingredients necessary to create one hell of an experience; great animation, moving music, adorable yet fragile characters and more. But essentially Air is like a cake batter that has concrete added to it just before you bake it (the concrete obviously being the plot). It weighed down and absolutely ruined what would be an otherwise tasty cake (no more cake analogies I promise).

Of course, if a stirring plotline isn't a requirement for you to enjoy a show, then this still may prove to be a wonderful experience. If viewed simply as a superficial work of cute characters, then it's bound to be a good time.

Air

Overall i think the anime is just fantastic and recommend anyone to watch it. The story is very original and very traditional in its own way (i mean, even the legend is original!). I really enjoyed the relationship between the characters especially between Misuzu and Haruko in the end even though it was short but it was still happy.

In this anime, you really get attached to the characters and actually feel for them when they are going through hard times. It is in the Summer Arc where we get to meet Kana and the others that we begin to understand what pain the winged girl in the sky had gone through. But it is also in this arc that there are the most humorous parts. It still makes me laugh even when i think about it.

Question's Air Tv Review

Air

Rated: 9

The presentation would be near perfect except for the awkard way the anime starts off, but once you get past that, its really really well done. The way we get a perfectly timed flashback sequence, followed by the story arc where we see old events with a new perspective, is really well thought out. At first you think Misuzu's mother just cant be bothered, then by the time the series finishes, you have changed your mind.

For such a sad story there are numerous comedy moments. However the majority of them are in the 2 bonus episodes, AIR in summer, that expand on the feudal era's events. The 2 episodes are chock full of comedy moments, yet manage to greatly expand the background story and are still filled with meaningful moments.

Pariahed's Air Tv Review

Air

Rated: 9

As I said previously, this series ranks number 2 on my personal list of animes (out of around 40 odd titles). Number 2 by a long mile, if I may add. In my opinion, and as objectively as I can possibly put it, the storyline, characterisation, art and music all play an integral part in making the series as successful as it has become. The originality and complexity of the storyline are the staples of the anime. Without it, AIR would have just been another shunned and rejected wanna-be drama series. The build up was not only good, but appropriate, and the climax of the story just really touches one's heart.

Psy295's Air Tv And Ova Review

Air

Rated: 9

The animation and music played a very critical part of this series, for the storyline was very complex, and they did a fantastic job. We are constantly bombarded with brilliant scenes as well as pleasant music to settle us into the interactions between the characters.

*summer special*
Since it was a comedy, it was pretty fun to watch, animation, music, and storyline were all pretty good.

This makes filler episodes seem good... All i need to say...

*movie*
Animation is a very high part of this movie, while paired with the uniqueness of the storyline itself AND how the movie complements the series VERY well. If you got AIR TV you MUST get the movie to be able to truly get a sense of the history repeating itself theme of the movie.

Nismosis' Air Tv And Game Review

Air

Rated: 9

The enjoyable factor of Air is one that is hard to match in most aspects. The animation is lively and attractive, the music is meaningful and pleasant, and the story is one of originality. Perhaps the primary fault of the the presentation of the anime is sudden sidetrack into the 'Summer Arc' of the story. It happens rather abruptly without much of a forwarning that could leave most viewers puzzled and wondering if they're still watching the same series or not. Another minor fault is that some of the characters seem to play a minor role in the standings. Kano and Mayuki seem like they would provide a meaningful existence for the conclusion of the anime, however they simply seem to disappear as the anime reaches it's conclusion.

Everfall's Air Tv Review

Air

Rated: 9

I think Air puts on an awesome show.. though it can get a bit confusing near the
ending, it's still very good...mysterious and magical. Great for all ages, and I would definetly recommend this anime, even if you're not into drama or that kind of stuff... you just gotta watch it to belive it =D

The theme of the story is very unique and different. It's not just "bad guys" and villians, or 'happy-happy'endings where the good guys always win.. It's all about a curse and a legend. They tell the story through many characters views..

Cagalli88's Air Tv Review

Air

Rated: 7

This series is quite complicated but overall is pretty easy to understand. Regarding humour, i think the producers lacked it even though it had some in the series. I find it very hard to laugh at the jokes because its pretty lame and its limited. This series emphasise more on the seriousness of the situation but there is always Misuzu to light things up. This is a pretty dark anime considering the town seemed to lack residents! In terms of originality, well, i think it is most original to talk about a totally new legend rather than , "A normal high school girl was suddenly transported to a another...." Typical cliche legend. One more thing, i mentioned that whenever Misuzu gets close with anyone, she will break down and show the tantrum of a kid.

K-li's Air Tv Review

Air

Rated: 7

This show has a nice original plot, and is nothing which has already been done. The idea of the 'girl in the sky', although used in a few other shows, is taken to a new level in Air which hasn't been used before (at least not in any anime I have seen before).
There are a few humorous moments, but not many; in general the reaction while watching the show is 'awwww' as the characters are so adorable and go through so much. But there are nice comedy moments which liven the show up ^_^
One thing that annoyed me about the show though, was the short amount of time some of the characters got.

Maceart's Air Tv Review

Air

Rated: 9

Heck, even if you aren`t a fan of the drama romance genre, download this anime just for its production values. Marvel at its wonderful animation, and its detail. If this anime ever gets licensed (which I highly doubt) I`ll be sure to snap it up. Now where can I find that Potato plushie...pikopikopiko.

Although the story was a bit confusing, with it's various character twists and turns, I still found this anime to be truely enjoyable, because of its mellow and relaxing atmosphere. All people who intend to watch this anime should treat it as a mature fairy tell, since there is a bit a magic and supernatural elements to the story.

I truely enjoyed AIR. It was high on my watching list, since after KGNE the year 2004 didn`t produce any good bishoujo game anime.
