Z827's Carnival Phantasm Tv Review

Carnival Phantasm

Rated: 6

This is a Review of Carnival Phantasm
Whilst being a comedy and all , it is heavily recommended that the audience have a base knowledge of both Fate/Stay Night and Tsukihime to fully enjoy the comedy potential of this series.
Not that story elements play a progressive role in the plot - which is almost non-existent to begin with but the fact that some jokes requires the audience's knowledge from their respective series to even understand such jokes in question.
Consider this Anime a "dream come true" for any Type-Moon fan.

Z827's Mobile Suit Gundam: Universal Century Tv Review

Mobile Suit Gundam: Universal Century

Rated: 8

This is a Review of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
Political corruption , a darker setting , impressive animations and well-built characters - what really kept this series from being perfect is how some of the characters behave at times. ( Kamille was badly affected by his parent's situation , and not his fellow crewmates? Seriously? )
Other than that , the series is well-executed and it had brought back old casts not as a manner of fan-service but to show the audience how they had fared after the One Year War and the struggles that Amuro was experiencing.
Ignoring the flaws which rarely bumps up in the series , this is one heck of a Gundam experience.

Weskalia's Hoshi o Ou Kodomo Tv Review

Hoshi o Ou Kodomo

Rated: 9

Hoshi o Ou Kodomo does not quite have the emotional appeal that Five Centimeters Per Second did, and though its writing is great, it may be criticized for looking like a Ghibli movie, but it is still a visually impressive and highly sentimental tale which speaks to the chase that most people hope for meeting those who they have lost. Though it may not differ much in style, tone, sound, or look from his other productions, you will not find another anime director better at hitting just the right note, and using just the right combination of lines and visuals, to much such stories work. It isn't the best anime movie, but it's safe to say that it's the first best anime movie in the 2010s.

Weskalia's Persona: Trinity Soul Tv Review

Persona: Trinity Soul

Rated: 5

Ultimately Persona: Trinity Soul seems more concerned with spinning a fanciful supernatural thriller than with actually telling a character-driven story or playing up any emotional connections. As a supernatural anime, it's a passable entertainment, with story and elements that go deeper and darker than your average ghost hunt. As a spinoff of Persona 3, however, it may leave a lot of fan disappointed; it's no coincidence that most concept from the original only to go wasted. That would not necessarily be a problem if it was more direct about its intentions, the story isn't quite together but has the ability to grow, but instead it spends most of its time trying to straddles the line between goofing off and developing its characters and supernatural elements fully.

CyanideBlizzard's Kono Naka ni Hitori Imouto ga Iru! Tv Review

Rated: 3

CyanideBlizzard : To be honest, I hate saying this about a show because I do believe that there is always something for everyone out there, but I just can't think of who Kono Naka is suppose to appeal to. The worst part is Kono Naka isn't exactly terrible, it's just bland in every sense of the word.

As a form of character development and plot, it's nonexistent. As a harem anime, there are so many more out there that have done it far better before and have far more interesting females to follow. While it is fairly nice to see Shougo as a decent guy, he's also incredibly dense and indecisive.

Z827's Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Tv Review

Mobile Suit Gundam 00

Rated: 6

This is a Review of Gundam 00 : Awakening of the Trailblazer
Generally speaking - I'm not amused.
Whilst the movie may had a memorable final scene as with any other Gundam movies , the general plot , the deviation from the previous installments and the flimsy build-up really makes it a nasty slap in the face for those whom were anticipating this film.
Whilst one may argue that it's a film made to broadcast the importance of understanding each other and what not , it is undeniably poorly executed with zero immersion compared to the previous installments.

Kamuinoyume's Pandora Hearts Tv Review

Pandora Hearts

Rated: 8

As a stand-alone, the ending of the Anime leaves much to be desired, since it feels rushed and doesn't resolve any of the major issues and questions asked throughout the show, but rather leaves you with more doubts, and I would even dare to call it bad character development and the events that transpire leave an abysmal glaring plot-hole in the story as well. So I give you a hearty recommendation to ignore the ending and read the Manga, because, sadly the Anime stopped right when the most interesting part of the Manga starts, and anything that you've seen in the Anime before now will be completely blown out of the water by the next arcs.

As a Manga adaptation: it's pretty faithful to the source material.

Angelxxuan's The Borrower Arrietty Tv Review

The Borrower Arrietty

Rated: 6

Over all, the plot was lacking for me. The Sound and Artwork blew me away, but the plot itself felt as if there was something lacking. Never really been a fan of any of the borrower films, novels and so forth. I have seen and read them all, and me being a great fan of animation I gave this one a go as well. Unfortunately, like all the others, it lacked depth to me into the plot itself. I was impressed with the detail, that's a given, but within any fan there are going to be things which come about a fan isn't going to care much for. I'm going to wait for the next one and see how that one turns out, just because I didn't like one, doesn't mean I'm not going to like another.

Weskalia's Ano Natsu de Matteru Tv Review

Ano Natsu de Matteru

Rated: 9

One could make a surface comparison between Ano Natsu de Matteru and Please Teacher!, this series is good enough to stand on its own as an ode to growing up and falling in love. Viewers may be disappointed in the poorly explained and all-too-convenient ending. Certain things are expected to happen, but in the end something completely different happens, and while it gives a brief explanation as to how the final result occurs, it fails to explain why the expected ending does not. But with the exception of not tying up one item related to the end of the story, every other major plot item and side-item is nicely and satisfactorily wrapped up.

And ultimately, it's a blessing that something as pleasantly mature as Ano Natsu de Matteru was released at all in today's anime market.

SnickerdoodleNinja's Final Fantasy XIII Game Review

Final Fantasy XIII

Rated: 5

When I beat Final Fantasy 13, I had two major complaints: length and linearity. Luckily for me, Final Fantasy 13-2 fixed both of these problems. With a length that varies greatly depending on how many optional quests you want to complete, the game can be as long or as short as you want it to be. As for linearity, well, the game tries so hard not to be linear that it almost seems as if it’s trying to be a rebellious child. No longer bound by a single pathway with short branches only for treasures, 13-2 allows the player to circumvent transition areas by eliminating a world map and replacing it with a timeline of settings’ leaving you to decide when and where you want.
