SaitoHajime101's Myself; Yourself Tv Review

Myself; Yourself

Rated: 7

Overall a 13-episode series thats nothing but dark psychology. I will give this anime props in giving a decent ending despite the flatness of the characters. The characters stay somewhat static throughout the series but still allow for a decent ending. However this series has issues in comedy. I won't say it doesn't try and make you laugh to try and give you a breather inbetween extreme emotional distress situations, but it doesn't do much of anything because the jokes just kinda fell flat (like the lame jokes in this review, get my point). After reading this review with those random jokes, it did nothing to change the mood of the review so you, the reader, can catch yourself. Thats the same thing the series did. Thirteen episodes isn't enough to allow for something like that.

SaitoHajime101's Vandread Tv Review

Vandread

Rated: 8

Overall it was a nice 26-episode series, but there are a few things that bug me. First is the fact that they had to name the second half of the series "The Second Stage". When companies do that, it gives the misinterpretation that its a second season that has a time jump. There was no time jump here, it picks up where episode 13 ends. Another issue is that the character development is rather slow. Because of this slow development it makes some of the episodes you watch feel extremely stand alone. I mean the episodes connect to each other, but with slow development in the characters it feels as if you're watching each episode as if it was seperate from the story. Once the characters show signs of change does the series really feel like its one big story.

Z827's Disgaea Tv And Manga And Game Review

Disgaea

Rated: 9

Overall :
Well, the Anime and Manga isn't exactly action packed,it's more focused upon the humor and storyline content rather than the combat sequences that took place in the game. The entire plot is more or less a joke to be honest, except the few parts around the end. This is a very light-hearted plot and is probably not meant for those who are only interested in "serious" type of things.

Genres :
Action (Very light,however.)
Adventure
Comedy / Humor

Trivial Info :
List of Disgaea products :
Disgaea : Hour of Darkness (PS2 Game.)
Disgaea : Afternoon of Darkness (PSP Port.)
Disgaea DS (Nintendo DS game.)
Disgaea 2 : Cursed Memories (A sequel for the PS2.)
Disgaea 2 : Dark Hero Days (PSP Port.

Z827's Brave Story Ova And Manga And Game Review

Rated: 8

A pretty good game / movie with a heart-warming plot.We see how the main character struggles through the plot and grow up through his experience. The Ending is bitter-sweet and the characters are interesting to a certain extent. (I did say to a certain extent :P )
Probably for the genres of...
-Supernatural
-Slice-of-life (Not really)
-Action
-Adventure

Trivial Info :
-Brave Story starts of as a Light Novel.
-The film is somewhat a charity programme.
-Other than New Traveller, which is for PSP,there is a Nintendo DS game called My Dreams and Wishes and a PS2 game for it called Wataru's Adventure.
-There are several soundtracks released for it.
-There are Novel,Manga,Films and Games based off the plot of Brave Story.

Z827's Elfen Lied Tv And Manga Review

Elfen Lied

Rated: 9

Again,I'll have to implement this warning.
WARNING : THIS ANIME / MANGA IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ALL AGES FOR IT CONTAINS MATURE CONTENT.
I won't feel so guilty if I did a warning twice and all...
Either way,I'll label this Manga / Anime under these genre.

-Horror (As in the gore.)
-Psychological
-Supernatural
-Romance
-Ecchi
-Harem(?)
-Tragedy
-Action

Time to continue the review and it's finishing touches.
Humor Content :
Well, the Anime contains only the main points,a different ending and a altered plot.So the Anime lacks humor. However, the Manga have occasional humor content so it's worth taking a look at both sides. But I don't recommend the Anime version if your unable to take too much gore, the Manga version is easier to digest to be honest.

SaitoHajime101's Toradora! Tv Review

Toradora!

Rated: 10

You have a nice long series of nothing but greatness. You have your dramatics, your comedy, your action with a couple fist fights and a couple small scenes in which Aisaka wields a boken (wooden sword). Its definitely a series I can go back and watch a couple more times because there's some things I've, more than likely, missed. I would say some of my favorite moments include when Kushieda sings her version of the Mononoke Hime theme in one of the episodes or when Takasu and Kushieda talk about the ghosts and stars the episodes, or when Aisaka beats Takasu up. There's enough to enjoy, but it doesn't go overboard.

SaitoHajime101's K-On! Tv Review

K-On!

Rated: 7

Overall out of a 13 episode series, unfortunately it wasn't a great one. Their goal was to go to Budokan, but they settled for high school stage. I get the meaning behind it but it would've made the show better if they really did go to Budokan. Look at it this way, if they changed the show into a 26 episode series, using the first 15 or so, getting through high school while practicing and getting famous, then the last 10 or so, after graduation, getting to Budokan, it would've stayed true to a music-related story. They spent so much time on non-music related activities like a christmas party or studying, etc that the show didn't feel like it was related to music. Thats my major peeve with this show and unfortunately, in my opinion, its what broke this series.

Ned-suki's Ghost Hunt Tv Review

Rated: 8

It may be because horror series (and generally horror stuff) are my favorites, or because of the simple, to the point name of it, but Ghost Hunt was one of the most enjoyable and appealing series to me.
I watched it on the dvd-player so I there was plenty of space for me to get under the blanket, close my eyes and sing some Mika with my ears plugged when I got scared. Just kidding :)) it wasn't that scary. OR...was it? O.O
I appreciated the fact that there were no "classic-sucky-style ghosts". You know, those white silhouettes that looked like my grandma with a white sheet covering her. They portrayed poltergeists, ghost-dogs, restless spirits, a possessed doll and all that stuff in a way that you could tell was fantasy, but wasn't that far from reality either.

SaitoHajime101's Clannad Tv Review

Clannad

Rated: 9

Well you have two seasons of Clannad with 22 episodes each, with of course 2 OVAs each. Now each season provides about 14 episodes of backstory for the supporting cast so if you're looking for main plot-related material, you'll have to suck it up and wait. The backstories were definitely worth the watch, but there were a couple that seemed a little drawn out, but easily overlooked because the characters themselves were interesting to watch when interacting with others.

There was plenty of comedic scenes (especially with Sunohara, Kyou, Akio, Tomoyo, and/or Okazaki involved), but as you head into the second season, it gets depressing very quickly, with no hope of any real comedic relief.
