Story & Characters
The first couple of episodes are just introducing Akari and Hikari. The story then goes on as a normal comedy/romance series as Akari and Hikari adapts to the lifestyle on earth. While the series is progressing there are multiple hints at the real intentions of Hikari and Akari, while the main characers remain clueless. The story then accelerates furiously in the last 3 episodes to bring the series to a conclusion. The series doesn\\\\\\\'\\\\\\\'t really seem to fit well for the overall feel of the series is totally different from the ending 3 episodes. The characters encounter multiple strange events and then brush them off as if they were nothing, which is really unusual.
I really liked how they paired Akari with Ryou, and Hikari with Takeru. For each pair share a similar personality. With Ryou and Akari having the calm and smiling faces, and Takeru and Hikari having the more deeper and serious personalities. I would say that the relationships between Takeru and Hikari developed way too fast, which created a lot of weird moments. There is also the usual girl cousin who is really in love with the guy but can\\\\\\\'t seem to win him over girl Mari. Along with two cliche i-want-girls friends of Takeru and Ryou. Ryou also has a two girl fanclub, along with a little sister who is jealous whenever any girl presents a real threat to take him away.

Art
For most of the series the animation is very detailed, with nice scenes of the beach and forestt. The ending is a lot darker, with a totally different approach as the scenes become more simplistic and darker, with lots of red butterflies.... and there are lots of fanservice moments with Akari and Hikari in the spotlight. There are also lots of moments where its very obvious that it was purely for fanservice, as it was totally unneeded.
The animation does play a significant role in grabbing the audiences attention, especially at focusing on specific characters, with Hikari having a very extravagent dress, and Hikari with her very basic t-shirt, shorts combo. The transformation of Takeru is also very important in that they use it to emphasize the current emotions of Takeru, however, he looks very ugly and stupid when he does.

Sound
The OP,metamorphose, is a very darkish sounding song, that fits the series perfectly. I really liked it for it does set the mood for the last 3 episodes. The ending is a uplifting song that does conclude most of the episodes pretty nicely. The soundtrack is decent with a couple good songs.
The voices are all really well done, with Ryou having a soothing voice, which fit his appearance as a helper, and Hikari having a ladylike sound, as she is the older of the two girls.

Presentation
The presentation was very average, with nothing very special. One catchy thing could be the fanservice, though really unneeded. The series had a nice base for a romance, drama series, for the first couple episodes was just about that practically. But the ending was totally different from the beginning which really mashed up the series. If they had introduced the main conflicts of the series more, the ending would of had a better flow. You could basically say that the middle episodes were fillers as not much was accomplished.
The series started off with a nice OP video, and then introduces with hints of a romance drama, but then changes it slightly with the introduction of Hikari, the monster, and transformation of Takeru. The series then forgets all of that, and focuses on the innocence of Akari and Hikari, and continues the drama/romance genre. This is really misleading and can really throw people off of what the series is about.

I have already read the episodes and yet it is still confusing for me. Can anybody explain to me the story clearly yet I like the art!
basically Hikari was sent to earth to destroy it to help start the next era of life..
however she meets Takeru who has ED and is fighting to STOP the earth from being destroyed. Hikari meets Takeru and falls in love with him.. and in the end decides NOT to destroy the world hehe
that is a REALLY really basic explanation
hmm, I mostly agree with your review, the last part was so rushed and with so few episodes it seems as though there's a complete break between the light-hearted feel of the first part and the rushed ending
but I still liked it all the same, for the characters if not the plotholes
