King of Bandits Jing tv Review
Story & Characters
The storyline for King of Bandits Jing is so, so. The story is about a Bandit named Jing and his womanizing bird Kir. Together they travel and collect all sorts of treasures and meet “Jing Girls†as Kir calls them, on the way. The plot is somewhat rhetorical in the way that they go to a town to steal something, meet a girl with a problem, get the loot and make the girl happy before leaving. You don’t learn much after watching the series about the main characters but everything about the girls and their life stories so that may take away. It doesn’t even have a solid plot Jing and Kir don’t change or grow during the series and pretty much remain static. There is no main plot or main villain and most of the mini stories don’t last more than 1-3 episodes. On the other hand the plot is original and in no way stereotypical. Most shows with 10+ girls and few guys are all about the boobs but this one isn’t nor is it about a hero trying to save the world, it’s just about a thief doing what he does best, stealing. With an original storyline a series defiantly gets extra points. Over all this storyline is pretty basic and very flawed however it is also good and eye catching. That makes me give the storyline a five out of ten.

Art
The art of King of Bandits Jing is very well done and gives off a smooth look. Character designs are very unique from one another so you shouldn’t get anyone confused. The backgrounds are so, so but the ending animation is stunning which could attract more people to the series. The colors are eye catching and a wide array of oranges, and blacks are used (OMG Halloween) the art is very detailed even for characters who only appear once. Jing’s hair as some spikes but no enough to make you think it defies gravity or can poke your eye out. The expressions are also well drawn allowing for you to see true emotion. This category gets a seven out of ten.

Sound
The sound is great the voice acting in dub is well timed and done in an experienced way the voices fit the characters which allows you to understand them and their emotions better. The opening and endings are lovely, catchy, and interesting. Both of them so are done by Scudelia Electro. The song lyrics are timed perfectly in with the animation giving it extra effect. The background music is simple and adds balance to the scenes. While there is little music it probably is the best part of the series (or at least I think so). The music and sound in King of Bandits Jing defiantly get an eight out of ten in this category.

Presentation
King of Bandits Jing is presented as a show that drags you in at every episode despite all its flaws. It fits into many genres but the two most visible ones are humor and action. It’s a fairly original series considering it holds no magic and almost no specialty even though it is a show about a thief. It’s enjoyable to watch but not the kind of this you want to watch over, and over again. It gives you another look at the life of a thief and crook in which he is pictured as the good guy. The main character is not a hero who goes on a mission to save the world or a loser who ends up with a bunch of girls whose boobs bounce to an unnatural extent or any other stereotype like that. While the show is filled with girls they are not unnaturally beautiful or busty they are just normal girls. This allows it to be a show attractable to a female audience as well as males. There are ugly villains, cute guys, and cute girls. The alcohol references can be ignored by young children because they are not very thick (the most common one being vodka and the episodes which are called shots) the show also has little cursing making it appropriate for all ages. All in all (even with its flaws) it has a fairly good presentation. I give it six out of ten.
