Plot Synopsis
Few years after the Armageddon in the distant future, the war between the vampires and the humans continues. In order to protect the humans from the vampires, Vatican have been building allies with other institutions and allies to counter the situation. One of them is a priest called Peter Abel Nightroad, who travels through the countries as a representative for the Vaticans. However, he is also part of "Ax", a special operations group controlled by the Cardinal Catherina.
As the story continues, Priest Abel's past and true identity will slowly be discovered. His encounter with a young girl called Esther will determine the struggle and survival between the human race and the vampires.

Story & Characters
The setting is after the apocalypse...
there is a so-called war between two groups....
The Empire (populated by the vampires or otherwise known as Methusulah's) and
The Vatican (populated by the Terrans ... a.k.a humans...)
but then there is this mystery group which is trying to destroy the 'peace'
between these two groups... known as Rozenkreuz Orden.
The protagonist of this story is a travelling priest...he appears to be a bit
clumsy, loves his tea with 13 sugars (and still manages to taste the tea...!).
This is Abel Nightroad. However, there is always more to this seemingly 'human'
priest...in fact he is a Krysnik... a vampire who feeds on vampires....
he is part of this group lead by Lady Catherina of the Vatican, the group being
AX.
other members of this group include Mistress, Tres Iquis...a cyborg... a
psychic... some dude and a professor...and a new addition, Esther
Blanchett...
many names are derived from actual people... slightly weird... they use the
names to influence the story... JM Barrie is used for example to do with a
storie about Never Land...
anyway...
so far. its good. but not all that special.
slightly slow..wish the action would be better to be honest. not enough action
and blood spilling surprisingly is low.

Art
The art tends to the dark side... a hint of a gothic quality to it at
times....
but then, you have the big huge eyes of the girls... which doesn't seem to fit
in...
but if your going for the harmless fun quality that is interjected into the
scene, then fine, it fits.
all in all... nothing special about it really.
one thing i don't like is the way Mistress/Ms. Noelle looks like. too
thin....and.. yea just don't like her.
the fight scenes...too dark and quick to see anything spectacular....
the cool thing that visually experienced was when Abel was going slightly angry
int he Silent Noise episode... was it that one? no....well it was this scene
where 'wings' unfurled when he 'released 40% of Krysnik) and then transformed
into this blood sword. now THAT weapon is interesting to wield.... it has this
certain dark, evil feeling to it... reminds me of bones.....

Sound
i love the opening theme to this anime..
i loved it so much, that i had to click back and repeat the song.
it fitted beautifully to the story and graphics of the opening (tho graphics are
repeated from the anime....i think budget was getting low)
it was so dark/twisted...
it felt right.
the background music was good...fits in. nothing else to add to that.
the speech (original) is fine. fits in with the characters, goes high and light
when joking around, cute and girly enough for Esther Blanchett and seductive-ish
for Ms. Noelle....
can't really imagine any other voices to be put with these characters. you just
accept them from the start.

Presentation
originality: not all that original to be honest.
its been likened to other vampire animes such as Vampire Hunter D, er, what was
that other one.... erm.. Hellsing....and there are other ones thrown into the
mix.
however, i thought it was quite an interesting storyline, i've never seen a
storyline exaclty liek this dealing with a vampire feeding on vampires, who is
fighting FOR the Vatican... and so on.
humour: forced if there is any. the clumsiness of Father/Lord Abel, is slightly
pushed...i guess a cover up for the serious/dangerous side to him when he is
with others..appearances can be deceiving you know.
enjoyability: i enjoyed, if slightly confused and annoyed at times due to
characters names coming up that .... you'll understand with the whole JM Barrie
reference coming up again.... i enjoyed watching it due to the music, and
general interest of where this whole thing is leading.
especially what it with that ending!!! don't watch the ending theme song....big
clue giveaway or not...mind you, why would they put that ending there if it
wasn't going to happen...and why in the first place put it there. i am one of
those people who like to listen to the whole theme tunes...and watch the
graphics... but i DON'T want to know the ending!!!
*sigh*
despite 'knowing' the ending....it makes it all the more interesting...makes me
want to watch it even more to know why it happens and what that relationship
between Esther and Abel is and how it happens.
i suppose that it one of the reasons why i want to carry on watching this
anime.... and stil is enjoyable despite knowing the ending....

This is an awesome anime. To bad I can't watch it anymore, have to wait for the DVD's!
Hmmm...Thank you for the review; I didn't know a lot about this anime, other than it being compaired to other anime similar(One of my friends said "Abel's like Vash! Uwaaai!!!"). So, all in all, Domo Arigato Gozaimasu.
Thanku for submitting this ^^ my best friend loves this anime and i wanted to know more about it
! I
downloaded the opening song, the brocken wings one, its awsome, thankies!
great tune isn't it???
but i prefer the first opening theme: Dress...
now that one, even tho don't understand the japanese...still good.
Trinity Blood....if you can't like it, you can't hate it either. You learn to like because it's too good to be hated as an anime. ^^
I can't believe you gave F for the artwork. I'd understand if you gave F for anything else but the artwork?! How can you say you don't like Thores' art? It's the most wonderful thing expressed in art by a human!
Just saw until episode 8, gomen =_=...
It started, letââ¬â¢s say okââ¬Â¦but then ââ¬Åsheââ¬Â appeared! I know this is supposed to have a good plot and all but up until episode 8 nothing really crucial happened to make me keep on watching, plus I just hate that red-head so much I actually hurts =__=#
I do feel bad about the rest it had to offer, specially the character designs which are superv! Better luck next time!
aight yuh rate the art to poor, the art is the best thing about the series, at least a 9
