Story & Characters
So, I'm laying on my couch like I used to do so often and watching a new
anime to go to sleep to. For the fifteen minutes or so of the episode I am
treated to a very common but awkward situation, a love triangle. At that point
my eyelids were heavy and my interest was waning.
Then I was shocked, appalled, disgusted, but my eyes flew open at the
disturbing site before me. I really don't want to give any spoilers, but it's
hard to descibe this particular story without spoiling.
I sat not knowing what time it was, completely enthralled in Kimi Ga. Before
I knew it I was on the last episode and without any sleep whatsoever, I had to
be at work in less than three hours.
This is a very realistic trip through unhampered emotions. I felt absolutely
drained after this and went into work unable to think of anything else, but the
horror and love of Kimi Ga.
If an array of torment on your emotional psyche is what you are hungry for
then look no further, you've found it.
There is no reason for anyone to miss this incredible potrayal of a psycotic
situation.

Art
Exquisite backgrounds with soft overlays that to accentuate the overall
emotional feel of the story. The actual characters are beautifully done using a
theme that we all know and love as anime fans. Blue hair is present on one of
the girls and it can make the story seem a little unrealistic at times, but the
point is never lost entirely.
The characters all reside in this small town and the art literally takes you
there and leaves you to enjoy a single leaf falling from a tree or revolt in the
absence of one's personality.
Gore is not really present, physically. However, when you see this be
prepared to scream in horror.

Sound
This music is the one thing lacking in abundance with this anime. The
background sounds are perfect, but the musical soundtrack does not offer what
the rest of Kimi Ga does.
I am a huge music fan and I almost felt cheated out of a possibly great
soundtrack. Music from Boogiepop Phantom would have fit in pretty good here.
Now that I think about it a little more, finding music to correctly fit this
show would have been a near impossible task. Nothing that I can personally think
of would conveyed what was nessasary to match this horrific love story.

Presentation
I really got taken away with this show. It was so well presented that I was
unable to pull my attention away from it.
I would suggest to anyone who watches this to prepare themselves. Get a bowl
of popcorn and set aside several hours of a day to sit down and be shocked over
and over again, until you just can't take anymore.
I really didn't think this was going to end well at all. Then to my suprise
it turned, then turned again to end not only satisfactorly, but fairly pleasent
as well.
Not everybody gets what they want as characters, but everybody gets what they
need.
Reality TV has nothing on this story, in fact this story could've been
presented with real live actors, but I don't think it would've been quite as
poignant.
I highly reccommend this series. It is also worth stating that the first
fifteen minutes of the series steers you in the polar opposite direction of
where the story will eventually lead you. Watch it by yourself then share it
with someone you love. The new found appreciation the two of you will have for
each other will be noticable.

you are more elegant with words than i could ever hope to be. i had thought of writing a review on this incredible show, but i couldnt form any kind of coherent sentences that matched the feelings i had for it.
at first i wished the ending was a little different, but now that ive had time to dwell on it, i tihnk it ended pretty well and left everyone right where they wanted and needed to be.
definately a must see for all you lovers of the tear jerkers, and anyone else, lol.
It would have been ok to give a bit of the plot away I think ^_^ to show readers what kind of love story they're dealing with. But I really like the way you write, it seems quite down to earth. I'd probably have given higher ratings for everything though, because Kimi Ga is such a good anime (perhaps music was a bit on the downside but it wasn't bad). It was one of the best anime I've ever seen. The emotions, how the characters matured and changed over time, how people react in situations of pain and love and friendship. It's a very realistic story. It might actually happen in real life. I think it has a very good portrayal of human behaviours.
A definitely must see for all anime fans, I've yet to encounter someone who disliked it after watching it.
It's made from a HGame, I'm not sure if it's worth playing, but maybe the ecchi scenes will ruin the feeling?
I love Kimi ga so much. It is one of the best anime that i have ever encountered. I can't help but say I like it over and over, as if I want to tell the world how good this show is.
i love this anime very much. unlike other love story, it has a very realistic, solid storyline. watching this anime requires a heavy emotional investment as i actually fell into a emotional deilemma , but i do enjoy it at the same time.
