Story & Characters
Urushima Keitaro made a promise with a childhood friend to make it into Tokyo University together. The childhood friend was apparently the only female friend he ever had as a child making the promise extra special to him. He has just been kicked out of his home for failing to pass the Tokyo University enterance exam fot the second time. With no where to go he turns to his last hope, the only family member whom he knows will help him, his grandmother, Urashima Hinata. He journeys all the way to the township of Hinata intending on asking his grandmother to let him stay at her inn since he has no money to rent a place for himself in the city. Upon reaching the inn, he goes to the hot springs. But then a girl climbs in with him... Needless to say, chaos ensues. Keitaro finds out that the inn has been turned into a girls' dormitory. Hopes dashed, Keitaro goes about finding someplace else to stay until his aunt, Urashima Haruka announces that Keitaro has been made owner and landlord of the Hinata Girls Dormitory by his grandmother. So begins Keitaro's days of being surrounded and abused by the 5 beautiful girls staying at the dormitory; Narusegawa Naru, Maehara Shinobu, Aoyama Motoko, Kaolla Suu and Konno Mitsune.

Art
The art for this anime is great. The characters all look unique and each have thier own styles. The art really fits the character's personalities too. With Naru being the main love interest and Motoko being the aloof beauty for example. As for the action of the characters, everything is smootly done and captures the sprit of the moment. For example, the comedic moments when Keitaro get punched for peeping on the girls bathing yet again. The backgrounds are also beautifully drawn and colored. Especially the scenery of the locations in the anime. The sfx are good. Nothing special here that you won't see anywhere else.

Sound
All of the voices for the characters suit them perfectly. Shinobu sounds like the innocent schoolgirl that shi is supposed to be while Kaolla has the voice that accurately reflects her high-stung, hyperactive personality. The dubbed version of the anime is whats stopping me from giving this a 10. The voices in the dubbed version are completely wrong and totally ruin the whole experience of watching this anime. On a lighter note, the background music and Original Sound Track of this anime is one of the best ones out there. The background music always matches the situation in the anime and its timing is impeccable. The songs are also great and all have a nice tune to them.

Presentation
The originality of this anime is good. With a unique storyline and lots and lots of humor invovled. Though most of the humor comes at the expense of Keitaro. The girls always find new ways to send him into next week. The antics of the different residents of Hinata Dormitory are not to ignored either and will make you laugh out loud. From Mitsune's drunken antics to Kaolla's inventions. All these give Love Hina a certain charm to it. All of the characters are unique, from their looks to thier personalites, you will definitely learn to love all of them in thier own way. Every day is different at Hinata Dormitory, from parties to studying for exams, the characters still manage to make all this interesting. It is also especially funny to watch Keitaro's slipups as he gets caught time and time again peeking in the girls' outdoor bath. You will also find humor in all of Mitsune's crazy moneymaking schemes which she manages to drag the other residents of Hinato Dormitory into, all of which seem to fail spactacularly in some way or other. At the end of every episode, Love Hina will definitely leave you wanting more as you keep wondering what is going to happen the next day at Hinata Dormitory.

im a big fan of love hina^,^ i almost have all the dvd and its so kool lol
i love it, its so damn cool both the anime and manga
Ah yes, Love Hina can never get old. Even though the manga is known to be better than the anime, it'll never be forgotten. Heck even straight girls read it. Why, because it has so much drama between the girls. Seriously I don't think Ken's new comic, Magister Negi Negi, can make up for Love Hina.
Love Hina forever!!!
I've just spent this weekend watching the entire series on DVD ^_^... On the whole, I thought this anime was pretty good/quite enjoyable... The only thing that marred it for me was their treatment of Keitaro... I think I would've enjoyed it more if they'd been a little less violent with him (especially Naru)... He's so sweet and caring... nice review by the way... ^_^
this anime is one of my personal fav.i won't call it perfect, but somehow it became a fav.
Loved the manga. This isn't perfect, but I like it the way it is ^_^
Nice Review. I agree with it, especially the sound and preesentation.
I Love Hina
