Plot Synopsis

Based off the shounen manga by Clamp, "Chobits" is set in the near future where persocoms (human-like computers) are common in the world. Cue in your average nice guy Motosuwa Hideki, 18 years old, a retester and a virgin at that~ He sets off to Tokyo to study at a prep school in order to get into college and on the way finds an abandoned persocom in the trash pile. Reasoning that he's reducing industrial waste, Hideki brings the the persocom back and switches her on.... At first it may seem like another boy meets mysterious girl kind of story, but Chobits goes much deeper that your average shounen story. The storyline explores some of the more mature aspects of an imminent future with machines replacing humans, of love, friendship, and what it really means to be "alive." Though even with it's mature themes, the overall look of Chobits is lighthearted at best. The comedy is very funny, though a bit ecchi at times it's done tastefully enough that anyone can enjoy it! All in all, Chobits plays out as a well written and thoroughly enjoyable love story.

Story & Characters

Well the story is great and have some originality in some parts, the characters are also unique and best of all, all the problems and conflicts that happen here in this anime(chobits) are solved in the end of the story or after a few episodes, so I can say that it has a good plot/story...

Eventhough the story is about a prep school student who fall in love with a persocom(personal computer) in a shape of a human body. I can say that, It do really have a unique love story and it shows the most important thing when you loved somebody..( just watch it and you'll know what I really mean)

It also have tons of comedies in this anime, sometimes you'll laugh until you drop... but eventually it has some sad moments and weird episodes... by the way, it also have some horror/suspence(beware) episodes that in the end you'l end up laughing at hideki(because he do really look stupid at the end)....
the only thing I hate in this episodes are the persocom maids, they dress like hell.... I think they have to wear something decent, something that will cover their bodies...

I also hate hideki for his green mindedness, a simple sentence that came from a girl will endup green things in his mind(I hate those kind of people)...

I think the funniest characters here is sumomo and chii (they are so cute when they are trying to make you laugh) sumomo's attitude and chii's innocence will make you laugh..... AI!!!!

we'll the visual presentation of the characters are good except those images that are a little bit ecchi(the maids) but the way they represent their animation and arts, are good especially the way they represent the emotion of each character in a certain events... the way the facial expression of each characters are excellent for me, the eyes are so cute(for girls) but for hideki, I hate it!!! the background images are excellent they blend very well with moving picture unlike other anime, you can tell the difference...

Sound

yeah. I like the sounds and OST... also I like the way they insert each music in every event that was happening....one of the most interesting music title here is ningyo hime... The instrumental inserts are also excellent(I dunno who make them, so, I would like to congratulate them) so the OST is worth to buy, so grab them now but, it is a little bit expensive here in Philippines(I hate those anime stores, they abuse their prices)..
the voices of each characters are great in japanese but when it was dubbed, I hate it!!!!!!! so I would recommend you to buy the jap with english subtitle because the dubbed version as I say, it sucks!!! especially the voice of chii and sumomo...

Presentation

This anime do really have the humour also have some sad events, but most of all, love story... I do really enjoy watching this anime.... it has a lot of laughing episodes and one suspense episodes... I also like the book chii is reading, because it do really connects the love story of chii and hideki and I find it cute that in this anime it has two kinds of story, the chii and hideki story and the story of.... (that's for you to find out) hehehe...
Ok, the enjoyability, well for me, I trully enjoy this anime from beginning ti'll the end, because of all the plots, the make different conflicts and solutions everytime so you wouldn't want to miss a single episode and if you did, you'll miss the whole process of solving the whole mystery of conflicts or worst, miss the whole story...( i hope you'll not experience that) I find ot bothering the episode where chii has been kidnapped by a pervert and put her on a live internet show almost naked........ I hate it!! so if your a minor just missed this episode or don't watch that part ok??
