Final Fantasy VIII tv Review

Story & Characters

I played ALL Final fantasy series, and many other cool games, I watched many anime titles for hours and hours, but none of them affected me like Final fantasy VIII, the characters, the plot, I'd say the game has a soul for itself, I played it 15 times to the end, and I still would If I can, I don't know what you people think about it, but even compared to today's games with shiny graphics and effects, they don't captivate you like what people call "OLD JUNK" these days. I give it 19/20. Seifer's pure but foolish dream, squall's awakening, Rinoa's jittery behaviour, Selphie's overkinesis!!!, Irvine's CLUB!Edea's dark fate,Quistis's Fallen dreamsFujin&Raijin's Loyalty, They all etched their place in my mind.

Art

Well, at the time the game came out for PC, hardly a game could match it's graphics, but it would seem trash nowadays, I still remember the opening FMV, and always will! But I didn't even care about the graphics when the characters showed up! I still remember Zell's fiery appearance and Squall's Icy greeting! The art in the game is really cool, especially the Guardian forces and certain Bosses for example ....

Sound

The speech? One of the coolest humor and also serious talk I've heard (say seen!) the game has no speech, as none of the old square games have, although I extracted a secret Rinoa voice out of the game saying "What is the matter"!

Presentation

As I stated, although there is no sound in the game, you won't care about anything but the plot when you get in the game, and the conversations are coolers!! I would've said many things but it would spoil the game for you! Every character in the game has his/her own humor style, I specially prefer seifer's sharp tongue, and also his freedom! Hell, he's my favorite character of all times. If you just play the game once, I bet you'll wat to play it over and over, hell , it's the best selling Final fantasy game ever, you should give it a try! The game seems a bit difficult at first with all that Junctioning and stuff, but once you get used to it, it's pretty easy!

Final Verdict

9.0000 (very good)

Hmm, maybe in sound you could have reviewed the OST? And maybe in presentation review the game mechanics like the battle system. This game I find some people really disliked because of the junction system.

Nice review. Though I wouldn't blame FF8 for not having voices, considering no FF has had voices before. :D I personally am not a huge fan of voices~ :)
