D.N.Angel tv Review
On Daisuke Niwa's Fourteenth birthday, he decides to confront his crush, Risa Harada, with a love letter, although backing away from doing so at the very last moment. Daisuke become depressed when Risa told him that she always treated him as a friend. Since being young enough to train, Daisuke has been training and practicing under his grandfather's observation although he not knowing himself what it was for.
Later that day, Daisuke remembers that his mother had asked him to return early. When he got home, he found that Wiz had unwrapped his portrait of Risa. Daisuke starts to imagine how Risa would react if she accepted his feelings, suddenly his body began to undergoes a strange mutation; that transforms him into Dark Mousy, the legendary Phantom Thief, who's mission is to steal precious arts. For generations, all male descendants of the Niwa family has been possessed by Dark's spirit, gaining Dark's appearance and magical abilities, the transformation occurs every time when the host thinks of romantic feelings for their true love.
Daisuke must now fight his feelings for the one he truly loves while also being confronted by the terrible dangers of being the new host of Dark. Also, at the same time of keeping his mind appon these current complications, he is also being hunted down by his very own classmate, Satoshi Hiwatari, who vows to capture Dark and lock him up for his sins. Little did Daisuke knows that Hiwatari also carries a family curse similar his own...
This adventure runs across in what seems like a European type city, where action takes place with each corner you turn.

Story & Characters
About a young teenaged boy named niwa daisuke!!... On his birthday he tried confession his infatuation for a girl of the same age in his class- risa. In the end he was rejected as she claim that daisuke is not her type. Feeling down and sad daisuke returns home disappointed (who wouldn't??) When he returns to his bedroom and sees his portrait of risa and thought of her, he changes into Dark the infamous thief of hiwatari clan art pieces. Feeling surprised he rushes and questions his mother and grandfather about it. Only then did they tell him that it was in the blood of all the sons in the niwa family that they become DARK at a suitable age. Then further on into the story, daisuke follows his mother instruction in stealing the expansive art pieces. In school, daisuke often finds himself in a fix as every time he sees risa he changes in to dark and only changes back to daisuke when he sees Riku-risa's twin sister. Also another sticky situation would be the fact that all the art pieces he is stealing originated from his classmates family- Hiwatari Satoshi. Also the hiwatari clan has long since been competitors with the niwa clan. The Niwa clan having a son that changes into DARK while the hiwatari clan has a son that changes in to krad. The story includes some friction between both Daiske and Satoshi. Lastly…as the story goes on.... u can see romance too. Risa falls for dark while Daisuke falls for riku.... wad a fix...

Art
The art is basically quite good. Although through the anime you may find some faults whereby the characters are somewhat unproportionate, it is on the whole very cute. The background the most applaud-able part of the whole anime. Its intricate detail is fantastic. The setting is rather different then most anime whereby their setting are simply in Japan. For dn angel, the setting looks very artistic and quite Venetian to me. It is a fine place to set a story about a thief stealing art. The story not only stays at one part like most anime whereby you either see the school or their home. This anime shows the school, but also daisuke’s home, the twin sister’s home, hiwatari’s home and many many other places. The setting change quite often and the change is always a pleasant one due to the fantastic art of the settings.

Speaking about music, this anime has some really good music. The songs are mostly ballads sung by the same guy who did the opening song. The songs that cut through in the middle are all my all-time favourites. The singer’s voice is deep and sings the songs slowly. The singer sings close to 3 or four songs in the dn angel music. There even songs sung by the twins. When I first watched the first episode, I did not get to hear the opening song as it was not play. However on the second episode, the moment the music starts I was drawn into it as I totally loved it. Thus I would definitely say the music has done the anime much good and it is worth listening to.

Presentation
I think it is definitely an original piece of anime because I have not seen any anime that is quite like it. And also, another plus point is that the anime has drawn plenty of fans due to its innocent story plot whereby the characters are real to each other and u can actually feel the purity in their heart. The show is innocent. Humour is there. It is definitely there. The humour is mild and yet extremely enjoyable. Also do lookout for daisuke’s cute little pet WIZ. This pet is extremely useful as it is able to morph into daisuke and “sort of� get him out of sticky situations. Also another fact about wiz is that it is Dark’s wings. Wiz changes into dark’s wings when flight is needed. As in some anime, the house pets sometimes become a source of irritance, but in this anime, wiz’s part is just so adorable. There is even one episode made especially for wiz whereby wiz falls in love. I think the overall presentation is very smoothly and comfortably packaged as the music, storyline, settings, drawings and even the colouring totally matches daisuke naturally shy character. Dn angels has romance, action, and mystery and fantasy all wrapped into one. This anime is really worth a watch and also would make a nice addition to your anime collection; I highly encourage viewers to watch this.
