Beyblade tv Review

Beyblade is the story of the aggressive Takao, the quick-thinking Max, balanced Rei, and experienced Kai--four boys whose paths came together and eventually saw them form a team called the Bladebreakers.

Along their path towards new challenges and achievements, this team of bladers are gonna find out that there's a lot more to Beyblading than they originally thought.

Story & Characters

Beyblade is an extreme sport based on Bei-goma, a traditional Japanese spinning-top game. The cutting-edge anime adventure series based on the game follows martial arts student, Tyson, as he perfects his technique. While each customized spinning-top is as unique as its owner, Tyson's is particularly powerful. He's learned to harness the mystical power of his Japanese ancestors. Tyson joins a group of international youths whose tops also possess special power derived from ancient beasts as they embark on a quest to battle their way to the World Championship while thwarting evil challengers.
The story sucks badly.Fighting evil guys with tops???( I bet bad guys will use an AK-47 instead of tops to fight...^_^ ) And the setting is an ancient tweaks combined with modern life, aaaw give me a break. nothing much can we expect from this anime except training and enter a competition and then train harder again and.......zzzzzzzz
the story will surely bored you to death......
the verdict.....
I would give a big fat zero for the story rating but there is none. oh well......

Rating: 1

Art

Nothing is impressive about the artwork in this anime except some of the beast that emerged from the tops ( some are nicely drawn ).
Not to mention the background art which is ordinary.....of what you can see in your surrounding....nothing much impressive......
and now for the characters.......as you all know the core or you can say the most important thing of an anime is the characters. You will find cool looking and powerful main leads ( such as Kenshin )..all of the are drawn in the highest detail, but for this anime, the main characters are terrible (their faces looked very annoying and i wish i could punch them straight in the face )....and they act like an ass hole.......
the verdict....( want to give it a big fat juicy egg , but then again there's no option ..>_< )....

Rating: 1

Sound

for the sound of Beyblade...they are the worst i've seen so far......
the opening and the ending theme are not interesting....making us not want to hear it again and again and again if you compared to the OST of Rounin Keshin or Gundam Seed ( my favourite music ).
Not only that, the main characters have annoying voices but hey their voice matches their dumb and stupid looks....
the sound effect in the anime is average at best. All you can hear in the anime are clashes of the tops and screaming to their tops like madman in order to win ( wow, such high tech....i don't even know spinning tops are controlled by voices...>_< )
the verdict.....

Rating: 1

Presentation

Bad, bad presentation, or the worst. Seems ridiculous to call a beast out of a spinning top ( can i just call a dragon out from my spoon???)
The premise wasn't that interesting: Hot airbag of a hero challenges bully into a Beyblade match, bully loses. Another dark, brooding guy literally jumps into the scene, hero challenges dark brooding guy, loses and kicks off the rest of the plot, which consists of a bunch of kids challenging each other to see whose top gets broken first (or at least fly off and topple!) in internationally telecasted tournaments and practically anywhere the occasion arises. Doesn't seem inviting does it? Well, it seems as if the authors thought the same thing, so they added a little twist in the form of magical animal avatars (called "Holy Beasts" or "BitBeasts" in the US version) residing in the tops, a little family and human drama, and the time-tested (but not always successful) demented organization who wants to take over the planet.
As this anime is meant for young viewers, but sadly this anime doesn't have much good values in it. For example, the mina characters are a team right? and a team must work together and help each other out whereas in this anime we've seen a lot of fighting and arguing between the dumb characters.......
Bottomline:
This anime is a piece of crap...dont waste your money to buy this junk...
and if someone give it to you as a present....give it to someone else or throw it into the toilet and flush it ( i'm sure no one will want it )

I remember trying to force myself to sit through this. I wouldn't give such a low score for the soundtrack (some of the bgm were actually quite good), but darn, it's a piece of crap. The only reason why this anime was so popular was because of heavy advertising, and the 'cool factor'. The main audience of this anime are little kids, because teenagers won't even be able to swim through all the cheese in episode 1. I found the dialogue horrible as well, I could easily write a better script.

The presentation of the 'moral' was crap too. You may as well watch other anime which entertains you more and still presents you with the same morals. =.= Yes, I'm god darned biased against this, because any anime which doesn't hold my interest for more than an episode FAILS. And I'm easily entertained, by the way.

Okay, first off have you seen season 3? That, my friend is actually the best season in the Beyblade trilogy (well, it's not actually a trilogy since I think a new season is gonna be aired). Anyways, I DO NOT agree with you saying that that character designs were way off... it wasn't of the best quality, but it's likable... check out the third season if you want a little eye candy. And the music? Pfft. Okay, I agree with you saying that the opening and ending songs of the FIRST season were crappy, but the third season's songs were pretty catchy if you asked me...

And so what if they call out bitbeasts from spinning tops? Ever seen a highschooler turned into a deathgod overnight? A girl falling into a well and transported back into feudal Japan? Ninjas wearing blinding bright orange outfits that could be spotted from a mile away? Anime' is anything BUT reality so so try your best to cope with all the mind-numbing foolishness they might dish out.

In truth, your review amuses me... as you only explained bad things about the show... a review is meant to site both the good and bad, and so far, you've only dedicated a sentence for the complement and the rest is pure crit... If you don't want to risk getting a headache from watching kid-friendly anime' like this, then I suggest that you stay away from it. Why did you even watch it anyway? For the sake of submitting a so-called 'review' only to treat the whole thing like crap stuck to your shoe? (whoa that rhymes) *ehem*

And, as I quote ShadowDreamer16, 'if it was SUCH a bad show, why did it become so popular when it came out?'

    THINK ABOUT IT.

I have to agree with Pandemonium4146, season 3 WAS/IS the best season of Beyblade so far. Character designs went way up, and compared to the let-down that V-Force was, G-Revolution's art was great. And for once, there were plot twists. V-Force was all about "OMG someone wants to steal the 4 holy beasts", while in G-Rev things happened. Tyson's friends left him, and for the first time he was forced to face his weak side, 'cause without them by his side, he's nothing. He needs to rise above "I'm the champion of the world!"-thought and look further. There's always someone stronger than him. In V-Force and BB2000, Tyson won (most of) his battles with luck (and being the main character and all). It would have been more believable if Kai or Ray won. And btw, it makes no sense that Tyson calls himself a world-champ, Ray's as good as one as well. Having defeated Boris... Kai lost... that's the odd thing.

Anyways, back to G-Revolution. I watched that season in Italian, with no horrible (imo) English dub, nor any of the (more horrible) dub music. No, the italian version used the original score, and that, was great. 83
"Sign of Wish" the third ending song of GRev, was my portal into Japanese Music, it lead to me listening to "Kaze no Fuku Basho", "Oh yes...!", "Go Ahead!", "Identity" and in the end to all the other anime I saw.
Beyblade was my second Anime (next to Pokemon), and it lead me to the world of Anime. Yes, thanks to beyblade I joined forums and discovered lots of other show. Thanks to Beyblade I got interested in the legend of the four gods (Seiryuu, Suzaku, Genbu and Byakko). Beyblade means a lot to me.

No, I won't say it's the best anime around, certainly not, no deffinitally not! I could name directly 10 anime that are better. But there were things that were awesome. Remember the fight on Lake Bajkal? I was sitting on the edge of my chair, mad at myself that I missed all the episodes that explained Kai's past. The fight of Kai vs Ray (G-Rev) EPIC! Kai vs Tyson (G-Rev), hilarious (kai throws his scarf on the ground, breaking it. Tyson on the other hand, dusts of his hat and puts it on his head).
The other thing I liked about Beyblade were the "real" places. Things I remembered, or picked up. Learned about or heard about later.

    I wouldn't give beyblade a "1", maybe V-Force yes (THE ART/STORY IS HORRIBLE), but G-Rev deserves an 8. >:

So bad that you guys hate Beyblade.
note:I don't remember the names of any series, i just remember the plot
I agree that the series in which Hillary was introduced and the current metal fusion series are fail.
But, the first series was really good. If you can't find spinning tops having super-power reasonable, well most of the animes are unreasonable with humans being able to destroy large areas or even planets

The series in which Brooklyn was introduced was the best imo.
You just need to get a little bit involved in the concept.
Beyblade is definitely not such a bad anime

Wow, I cannot deal with that review.
Okay...there are many animes I dont like but this is some kind of making goof of it.
I love this anime, it's my absolutely favourite anime. I love the chakater designs. In this anime, Tyson is the protagonist but he's not the only person who's got a story. Every person has his own story, own design and own character. Of course there are some sidecharakters, but Takao Aoki has created a wonderful design of his characters so that you don't need to think: Tyson everywehere...
And I think hiding a bitbeast in a beyblade is a good idea. Okay, not everyone likes to start a beyblade and of course in real live these beyblades will never do moves like in the anime. If that's the reason so many people hate this anime, then you might hate Yu-Gi-Oh, too. Because these are living souls in paper cards. And please don't tell me: 'Oh, that's something other...' No, it's not.
And I love the music. It's some kind of rock'n roll and not these romantic songs I cant hear anymore. This is some kind of fresh music that makes fun to listen.
And you should know: There are still a few fans who love this anime! And I'm one of these.

Okay, please don't misunterstand my comment. Don't feel attacked by my comment. Everyone has his own opinion. And of course there are many animes I don't like, too. But I think it's not okay to push an anime down that way.

I'm not sure what is you said above. I watched it to the end and that doesn't so boring what are you said. If you understand what is the mean of it maybe you like this series too. The story tell you about Don't Give Up! easily

  8. YHE Jan 21, 2014

This anime is not so bad, I've watch it when I was a kid and I loved it. But if i'm gonna watch it right now I can say that its bad. I'm not saying that its for kids, but it is probably made for kids. It's probably depends on your preferences . That's what I think, Its just an opinion.
