Plot Synopsis
Two ordinary high school girls, Himeko and Chikane, discover they are in fact the reincarnations of the lunar and solar priestesses, destined to summon the Ame no Murakumo to fight the evil of the Orochi and its eight necks. Along with this they must deal with Souma, one of the Orochi who struggles with his destiny and his feelings for Himeko.

Story & Characters
Well , as the story unfolds , It really has a feeling of Tension as it unravels slowly and suddenly became something diffrent. The surprise element was undoubtly there. The ending was however , Sad and a bit Strange , that Himeko rejected Souma after all he's done just for Chikane. I guess a Shoujo Ai anime will always end up with girls on girls. (After all , it's Shoujo.) The sad part was where Chikane sacrificed herself just to prevent Himeko from getting killed as an effect after they slay the dragon which happened the last time around when the Lunar Priestess killed the Solar Priestess. So SAD.
I think Souma's quite hurt though , being rejected by Himeko after all his efforts to make her happy , Though some may argue that being with Chikane is the time Himeko's really happy.
Well for ratings.
Art 10/10. Perfect. Period.
Story 7/10 . Could have been longer.
Music 10/10 . KOTOKO was excellent , Perfect OP and ED's.
Character Design :9/10.Characters have excellent characteristics.
Costume Design : 9/10 . Loved it , KOS-MOS's outfit sux. (Xenosaga)

Art
Wonderful , Simply wonderful. I loved the Art . It was really nice. Himeko was totally cute and Chikane , Cool and Beautiful , as the name suggests.
It striked me from the beginning that this was gonna be a Lesbo-Anime , However , it really came to me that the Art was too nice to prevent me from watching it. The further addition of Mecha's was a total bonus as I liked the Gundam Series , and again the Art , Souma was damn cool , Loved it.
The girls were wonderfully beautiful and cute. Loved their wallpapers.
Definitely world class Art there. (I hope other anime producers will hire them
for their Art Sections.)

Sound
Perfect OP and ED by KOTOKO , Loved the voice and the music. Total harmony for me. Though others may not think the same. Nevertheless , give this OST a try. You'll love it.
It's voicing was nice too , Himeko sounded innocent while Chikane sounded matured and caring . Just nice. Souma was cool , calm and strong sounded.
OP and ED SERIOUS RECOMMENDATIONS.
The music was a bit creepy and err... God-like I guess. Somewhat resembles asian ancient musics. The effects were cool , Especially when they're in the Mech and while Himeko is chating the incantations , I loved the way she said it all out, Cute Voicee~~~

Presentation
No comments on this as no Game is released . But I do really enjoyed this series. Looking forward to Kannazuki no Miko II (I hope they will make it TRUE for me.)
This series was a total Shock for me . Since it's my 1st Shoujo-Ai anime. This is the 1st time I saw girls kissing. Totally shocked , Didn't know about that b4 I saw the anime because it was recommended by a friend , Was shocked when I saw the scene , at 1st I thought it was gross or simply embarassing. But now I think they're cute and really deserve to be a Popular Anime.
"Gundam Style" Mechs was also one of the Strong points of the Series. The blade-slashing session @EP's 11 and 12 were nicely presented and the OP and ED have nice CG accompanying them.

I agree with you that Kotoko sama's op&ed are very wonderful~I began to like her from this anime.
but the story is rather spam,I would only give it 4/10,too many things mixed,but it didn't connect them well.
and about the art,I admit Kaishaku's orign characters design are very great//loli-con.
about the voice...Kawasumi Ayako(Chikane) casted very well,very different from the chars she usually casted,calm&cool,and expressed the pain of Chikane out great.but Shitaya Noriko(Himiko),her sounds too sweet without some true feelings,that made Himiko just look like a little girl without thinking,this isn't very good,as Shitaya Noriko is still new in casting,have to forgive her

I love this series a lot too! Too bad it was so short though....
When I first watched this anime, I was pretty surpirised that this anime has mecha in it . That was a major reason that influenced me to follow it. The artwork is also nice too.
Just like the reivew said, I would definitely recommend the opening and ending theme.
The story to this was very interesting; I haven't seen much like this before. I love how the characters are drawn, it's very beautiful. The op & ed's were also pretty good. I felt that it was long enough, though a longer series would've been a massive bonus.
Highly recommended to those who like a bit of romance and mecha.
