Disgaea tv Review
Story & Characters
The story of Disgaea takes place in the Netherworld where a Prince has been sleeping for 2 years now. He is awaken
only to find out that his father has died and many other Demons have been trying to take his title. Laharl the rightful
hier to the thrown has to show these demons who is the rightful owner of the thrown.
Later in the game you encounter many characters with different characteristics. You meet a character named Vyers that
will be your rival through the game. Vyers then proclaims himself as the Dark Adonnis and says he is going to take
Laharl's place as king. Laharl makes fun of Vyers and gives him the Nickname Mid-Boss. Vyers very angry about the
name Laharl gives him fights you in battle. After you beat him up the fool is in bandages saying things like how could
he have lost. Then he runs away with the bandages all gone. Everytime you beat him up it shows an image of him with
Bandages for a while. Then he takes them off like he never even gotten beat up.
Later there are many other Demons that tries to challenge the Prince but always fails because Laharl is the main
character (obviously). Laharl has Etna his loyal Vassel that is pretty cool to the addition of the party. Also he meets
Flon later which is a Love freak that always tells Laharl to do the right thing. Too bad you can't get Mid-Boss in
your Ally because he is really funny, looks cool, and gots a bunch of neat fighting moves.

Art
The Art style of the game is based solely on Anime. The whole game is pretty much in 2d with a 3d background, but the
sprites are very well done. The mane theme of the game also has a song by Tsunami Bomb called "Invasion from
within" the song has a chorus where they mention Enemy inside of me, which sounds more like Anime inside if
me'. Anyways alot of the main supporting characters looks really cool. The different Job Classes all gots
they're own style so everyone is happy. My favorite designs for characters were Mid-Boss, Laharl, and Etna. They
looked like they were real Bad Azz Demons. Yet in a goofy sort of way.
The Job classes includes Angels, Demons, Samurais, Ninjas, Rouges, Swordsmans, Brawlers and much more. With these Job
classes there are six more classes of the job you can unlock. Each comes with different color cloths hair and even skin
color. The scenes where the character talks is not bad, it can be boring to watch at times, but the story is always
keeping you amussed. The Comedy in the game kind of makes up for a lot of the games flaws.

Sound
The Music gets repetitive at times. yet some might learn to like it. The sound is very clear and every character says a quote before they attack. It sounds pretty neat, Laharl would say something like "Bite the Dust" right before he attacks. The voice acting is not bad but I liked listening to the Japanese version more, they're voices don't sound as annoying. The music has a few good themes and a few Bad themes. It's not anything like FInal Fantasy but has a sort of Kiddy Netherworld theme instead.

I really enjoyed this game because Im a lover of good games. I guess some may think the game is bad, but you cannot
begin to judge a game when you haven't even really played it. I liked this game a lot because of it's style of
Anime, it's sense of humor, and the fact you can get to level 9999 and have well over 10,000,000 hp. This game is a
classic to me but it might not be to some others. So if you aren't a true Rpg player you shouldn't get this
game.
This game is a very addicting game with many different endings. If you don't like it, go tell it to your mom.
Everyone else, welcome to the family. This game is quite Awesome with enough story to make you laugh will you cry. Maybe
not cry but you get the point. I actually have at least 500 hours in the game and still going because I barely have
1,000,000 hp. The Team Combo System also adds a new style of fighting in Rpgs. You have 6 primary wepons that you can
learn six different attacks from. You can also change weapon during battle to use different attacks for different
situation. The weapons are Sword, Spear, Axe, Fist, Bow, Gun, and Staff. The Monsters classes also have different types
that have many Variety but they all use one type of weapon, a claw. There are a few Side quest at the end of the game
that will keep you playing for a long while. Why? Because the boss of the game is around level 90 and the last enemy
that you can fight (Baal) is at level 4000. I also liked the Prinnys a lot in this game, Prinny Dood.
This game sets a new standard for Rpgs to come. I think this is quite possible the best SRPG on the PS2. But be
warned this game also has flaws, if you can't get over the fact the game is not a Final Fantasy, don't buy it
and complain.

It's a fun RPG, just takes some time and if you don't forget to save you could be in trouble. Good job on the review.
