Naruto tv Review

Once, a nine-tailed demon fox attacked Konoha, the Hidden Village of the Leaf. Many brave ninjas lost their lives defending their home. Finally, the demon was sealed by the Fourth Hokage into the body of a human boy. Several years later, that boy, Naruto Uzumaki, struggles to gain the acceptance and acknowledgement of the villagers, many of whom still hate him because of the demon inside him. So, Naruto strives to become the Hokage, the strongest ninja in the village, so that the villagers will acknowledge him. Along the way, he gains many new friends, and faces many life-threatening situations.

Story & Characters

The storyline is partially predictable. However, it is later shifted to another goal. Naruto is not the only anime with ninjas but probably the first to be rounded around ninjas. Naruto does tend to get intense with drama but normally turns out to be okay in the end. This anime is, however, filled with many humors that can be turned to classics for future laughs.
Within Naruto, it does have many flashbacks some that tie in the story and some that are completely worthless but instead used to stall. It also is filled with many fillers that can last to about 20 episodes or more. On the other hand, there are many strategies that prevail that most people wouldn't have thought of making some of these battles, quite clever. Sadly, many of the battles are expanded across many episodes, otherwise known as fillers, and can kill so much time watching. Many, as myself, watched the battles thinking something significant would happen and in the end turn out to be quite disappointed.
One significant thing in Naruto, are some of the major twists; you will think something and there's lots of evidence to provide back-up and support for you're theory but in the end, from the victims view, it's much different and is the truth. Many truths of reality and character can be found within here.

Art

The artwork in Naruto shifts back and forth between prize winning graphics to a rushed artist. One major poorly animated episode was around 130-135 when Naruto and Sasuke. This battle was the battle right before Sasuke went and reached Orochimaru in his lair.
Also, like many other animes, the artists focus on making the main characters very well detailed and nicely done. On the downside, the insignificant people are basically remakes of one character with a few adjustments; sometimes no adjustments at all. The positive side of the downside is that, you probably won't see those characters again and what you'll mainly see is the nicely drawn characters.

Sound

The voices of the characters 90% match the characters. (In my opinion) The opening and ending songs also tie into the anime very well going along with the plot at that very moment in the story. Most next to all, start off with a very adventerous and motivational song. And some of the ending are sad, some are happy. They tie along to the section of the plot quite well.
Aside from the openings and endings, the music in Naruto seem perfect. The music always seems to fit-whether its a upbeat song for an action scene, a slow, teary song for perhaps a death scenes or a motivational song for the comebacks of someone.

Presentation

What I personally like most about Naruto, was the laughs I had from it and the attachments to the characters. The humor in Naruto happens quite often with the childish behavior of many characters; whether you're old or young. With the comical immaturity of many of the characters, one can get attached to them. Being so used to their personality, it's hard to let go when they change. (Naruto is a long anime that expands over a long period of time and many of the characters grow-up and change-being affected by their experiences in their lives.
Within Naruto, they make it where it seems real by putting things in like side effects, rather have the protagonists always prevail without a scratch on them. Many would agree with the fact that with the protagonist taking damage and having difficulties in life, brings up some suspense and doubt in a "happily ever after" ending. The timing of Naruto seemed to be well planned out knowing when everything was about to happen and that experiences helped in the future battles.

:) I used to love Naruto until the bombardment of filler episodes made me apathetic to the anime series. However, you're right about the variety of characters and fighting abilities making the series more interesting.

I like this show but sometimes I loose interest due to some of things you've pointed out already like the poor animation factor and sometimes those god awful fillers. They've been doing really well with the show these days in trying to make us connect with the characters more and the art work has improved quite a bit. I think your review is quite good and you've presented it so eloquently.

    I agree with you completely.
I watched all of the Naruto episodes (even the fillers) and am now in the process of watching the second series, Naruto Shippuuden. This is very similar to the ffirst in all of these points which is what makes it so great. :D

I agree with a lot of what you said.. The extensive filler episodes, and occasional bad animation seriously detract from the overall quality of the show, but ultimately, it remains entertaining because of the humor and the main characters.
