Story & Characters
The story is based around two high-schoolers, Koizumi Risa and Otani Atsushi. Risa is a lot taller than the average Japanese girl, at about 170cm while Atsushi is much shorter than the average Japanese boy (156.2cm tall). although the first time they ever met, they started to argue and fight, they later on develop strong bonds between them as both of them have the same feelings of not being 'average': Risa being taller than most girls by lots and sometimes even being taller than most boys, and Atsushi the total opposite. the two become good friends and eventually start to develop feelings much further than friendship. This plot is quite unique, as in most romance mangas, the girl character is always cute, short and girly, and the guy tall, buff and manly. In Lovely Complex, it shows the girl as taller than the guy, a bit of role reversal with heights. the plot was good, but it seemed a bit repetitive when suddenly Risa had an admirer, and Atsushi would get jealous, and then vice versa, and then comes another one, and then again....but somehow seeing the reactions from the two, and the sweet confessions in the end always made up for the repetitiveness. "i seem to like Risa more than i imagined" - it was exactly these types of lines that made the manga much more worth reading. The different hardships that they both came through, from Risa's realization that she loves him, to Atsushi's initial rejection, to Atsushi's realization and all the rest. The barriers between them because of height differences also crumble in the end when they realized that they both loved each other too much to care. A very sweet plot and storyline, and awesome characters and personalities. Many of the two main character's friends are very detailed, and each different character had a very interesting and different personality. The variations between each character and the ups and downs of the storyline definitely made it more interesting to read ^_^

Art
Art is drawn by Aya Nakahara, and i find that her art is much better than most that i\'ve seen. i love the way she draws the characters in times of comedy, and the way she draws them in touching scenes (the kissing scenes were awesome too :3). the art fits in very well, as lovely complex is probably considered as romance/comedy, and the different ways of drawing the characters at different times were very good. the character designing was good too, and sometimes when a lot of detail was required, it was provided, and when the scene needed simple design, Nakahara also drew them there, so i think the artwork was very well done. the different clothing, hairstyles on each character and the different details are quite complex, and is done very well. the colours used on the covers are really nice and stand out a lot, and the funky backgrounds and the colours definitely fit in very well with the genre, creating a very humourous and lively atmosphere.

Presentation
This is definitely a manga not to miss if you love the combination of love, humour and kissing scenes (joking...). The sweetness of the couple dating, the sacrifices made from both parts, the hardships they come through to this well earnt love is definitely something worth watching. the scenes and the plot are really enjoyable, although at times it may seem a bit repetitive. very enjoyable, and made me hooked onto it and couldn't stop reading. although not everyone might enjoy it since different people like different things, people that love the shoujo catagory and that enjoy reading about romance and the different ways that love may affect your life

I saw the anime, only 13 episode until now. I'm proud to say it really deserves the mark, this is the funniest anime I've ever seen. I can't stop laughing while I watch it. The idea is also unique, and the romance here and there makes is sweet! The characters are very well drawn as well, Koizumi is very pretty. But I gotta admit they overreact with the funny faces sometimes. But 9, 9.50, great anime and manga (I'm only at the 1st chapter)!
Reading your review, all I got was that the story consists of a role-reversal of a taller girl and shorter guy, and how they fell in love, and that it's "good". I still don't get why it's good, or why I should read it like you recommended.
Just because the character designs are unique and there is a role reversal doesn't tell me why or how the plot is "quite unique".
Okay, that sounds interesting, but from reading your review, I still don't know why the character personalities are awesome.
It seems that you've repeated yourself quite a bit in the story analysis, and that rather than an objective analysis, you've simply given a plot summary from someone who is gushing over the manga.
You pointed out a downside to the story, yet you still gave it a 10 (perfect score) when it's not perfect. Yes, you mentioned later that things make up for it, but there is still a flaw. Not everyone would consider then ending worth the repetitiveness. It's okay to rate something other than a perfect 10 you know, even if you absolutely loved the series, please write the review objectively.
One thing that's good about the review is that the art section is pretty well-reviewed.
However, do not just leave the sound section blank and simply give it a 10. Yes, mangas don't have sound, but according to A Reviewer's Guide to Minitokyo Reviews ,
Lovely review <3 I read the preview in Shojo Beat and I loved it! :3 Risa-chan and Otani-kun make a cute couple n///n I don`t like that Suzuki dude xD Chiharu-chan is adorable <2
It's like a giant run on sentence. You have missed puncuation and capitalization all over the place. That and your scores are clearly awry. If you even mention the word 'repeatitive' in a description for Story & Characters that should immediately discount a possible 10. 10 signifies perfect and that word definetly signifies flaws. Reviews aren't for rants... thats what the forums are for.
its a cute series, but i really don't like the voices. not how i imagined it at all.
cute
