Sorry to say but i thought this anime was infintile and not amusing at all. Had its comedic moments but nothing to write home about. A 1.5 / 10 on my rating scale and thats been kind.

Story & Characters
Nurse witch Komugi takes the main characters from the "Soultaker" series. This is a 2 DVD series consisting of 3 episodes each. There is no real plot behind the series, its just a very funny and light hearted anime. The basic story behind NWK is that a villain named Ungar is planning on releasing a bunch of viruses all other the world. Maya, the goddess of the vaccine world sends out her helper (a very funny looking rabbit) named MugiMaru to find the perfect candidate for a magic nurse to help save the earth. MugiMaru finds an unsuccessful 17-year-old cosplay idol, Komugi Nakahara, to do the job by becoming a Magical Nurse Witch. Unfortunately Komugi is very flat chested and everyone seems to like to remind her of that fact, besides the fact that she has a few loose screws! To make matters worse, Komugi's schoolmate and fellow cosplay idol Koyori Kokubunji is possessed by the evil Ungar and turned into the Magical Maid in order to get rid of Komugi. If you have watched soultaker you will run into some familiar faces, such as Kyousuke Date, Asuka, Shiro Mibu, Yui, Runa and Megumi.

The animation is done quite nicely. It is nothing groundbreaking, but it does look very pretty. It has nice crisp lines and bright light-hearted colors. It is quite different from soultaker. The characters are drawn well and Komugi is certainly extremely cute. Her Nurse witch outfit seems to be a cross between Pipi Longstockings, a nurse uniform and a rabbit costume. Being a cosplay idol, Komugi has several cute outfits, my favorite being the cat outfit and the wrestling outfit. Again, the animation was nothing groundbreaking but it was certainly done very well.

Personally I am a big fan of cute anime music and this certainly has it!!! In the middle of the first DVD there is a
music video sung by Komugi, the song is called "Anata Ga Dai Kairai" which is the best song in the whole
series. The opening theme "Ai no medicine Renewal" is very cute too.
The dub is done very well, they seem to have reused all the same characters used in the original "Soultaker"
series, and Komugi's voice is perfect. I do like the Japanese Voiceacting a lot and Komugi's Japanese voice
talent is really a great match too.

Presentation
This is certainly a very very funny and charming series. NWK is very much like "Excel Saga" in that it
parodies a lot of other animes including some of the previous work that the same animation studio has done. It is nice
to see that the studio can poke fun at their past work! Although it is in the same vein as Excel with its quirky humor,
bi-polar heroine and silly sense of humor,, it is still really original. There are a lot of hidden things to watch for,
some obvious and some are more obscure. It has a high re-watchability and I always seem to catch something new every
time I watch it.
There are a lot of jokes about Komugi's flat chest and about MugiMaru being a pervert (since he always seem to be
in the bathroom when Komugi is taking a bath), but its all done tastefully. The disk packaging is nothing to write home
about but the cover art is very cute. As far as I know there is no box to contain the 2 DVDs together. Because it is
highly re-watchable and because there are only 2 DVDs, I would rate the series as a good buy! Nurse Witch Komugi has
quickly become on of my favorite animes, I hope other people enjoy it as much as I do!

infintile is a great word . . . yet its the reason this anime was so good. You didn't have to think about a complex plot, you didn't have to analyze character personalities to understand them and you didn't have to understand or know anything about the character origins (aka Soultaker) to enjoy the fact that it was light hearted, simple, and sometimes downright touching anime series.
